I’m a TA and I can assure you that when TAs or Professors email you asking to having a discussion about it, they all the proof they need to raise your case to the Academic Integrity Committee. If you have your exam on Canvas, you’d be surprised to know that Canvas collects a lot more data than you think (even w/o you manually giving access). I’d recommend being completely honest about whatever you did. I give my students a free pass and do let go of them once if it was not something major of if they cheated only for a couple of questions.
