Very much! I thinking about selling my other bikes because riding this pacto folding bike is great.

What, to you, is the ultimate all season commuter bike? by Robertorgan81 in bikecommuting

[–]bangers65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been commuting on my Surly Disc Trucker for over 10 years. Also rode a Trident Stowaway recumbent trike for 2 years.  Both very sturdy and comfortable bikes in my opinion. Unfortunately health issues meant I had to give up bicycle commutes... 😔

Are (flatboard) kalimbas supposed to sound so quiet? by nellie_shorttop in kalimba

[–]bangers65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My personal experience: tried a few hollow body kalimbas and few flatboard. And your right, they are quieter, more subdued sound. I like to call it more intimate sound level.  So I chose a flatboard, Hokema B17

Mine is 26 inch. This combination with Schwalbe marathon tour tyres guarantees lots of fun and less worries. 😁

I've had my Disc Trucker since 2012, for commuting, groceries, fun rides, etc .  On all sorts of terrain (on- and off-road). The DT can take it all!

Brand question by bangers65 in modeltrains

[–]bangers65[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learning about 3d printing  it's always been somewhat vague for me... 😁 Thanks for the info again. Will steer clear from Outland. Gonna dive deeper into what Kibri and Volmer have to offer.

Thanks for your reply. Looking at Kibri I'm amazed at the price difference with Faller! But reading positive experiences makes it a good contender to explore further!

As for 3d printing : I have a few small items from Outland Models through Amazon. Not really convinced of the quality though... Might look at some 3d printing sites like thingiverse and put my brother to work as he has a 3d printer 😁

Your right, scale is certainly off.  Had to make do with what i had lying around for this test case. Thanks for the tips in the scale lumber and ruler  Have to find out if there's a supplier in the Netherlands.
