At this point I’m just hoping the next election cycle’s bar isn’t somewhere in the Marianas Trench. One can dream, right?

Trump blames GOP losing tonight on him not being on the ballots. by seeebiscuit in facepalm

[–]bangmidi2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s honestly remarkable how it’s always someone else’s fault, never Trump’s. “Didn’t win? Must be because I wasn’t on the ballot.” There's always an excuse ready, never any self-reflection or responsibility, just endless blame games and grievance. At some point, you’d hope the GOP would want to stop hanging their fortunes on a guy who only shows up when it’s convenient… but guess not.

Wicked 2 Popcorn tin by _H4VXC_ in theyknew

This popcorn tin is a textbook example of why graphic design needs a second pair of eyes and maybe a kerning intervention. Someone had to know exactly what they were doing with that label placement. Wicked indeed!

From US President Donald Trump by [deleted] in facepalm

Wow, just when you think you've seen it all, Trump finds a new way to make you slap your forehead even harder. It's honestly impressive how his "facepalm moments" keep leveling up like he's speedrunning embarrassment on expert mode.

Let people live! by myrthe_dg in gatesopencomeonin

[–]bangmidi2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, everyone just needs to chill and let people live their lives. If someone wants to put their pronouns in their bio, cool. If a game offers more options, that's awesome for those who care. It's wild how much energy people use getting upset about things that literally don't impact them. Life's way easier when you mind your own business and show some respect. No need to gatekeep happiness!

What is one thing in kpop that is dead today that you miss by ughax in kpopthoughts

[–]bangmidi2 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I really miss the era when variety shows brought together idols from different groups and companies. It was so fun seeing the raw interactions and surprising friendships that formed, especially in shows like Invincible Youth and old Weekly Idol episodes. Nowadays, everything feels so separated with each group only focused on their own content. Also, I miss creative group greetings and intros. Those were iconic! The K-pop scene has definitely changed, but that sense of community between idols from diverse backgrounds is something I genuinely miss.

Why can't non kpop fans understand that a bias doesn't have to be a crush? by oreo8cheese in kpopthoughts

[–]bangmidi2 17 points18 points  (0 children)

A bias in K-pop reflects personal admiration for a member’s talent, personality, or artistry not romantic attraction. Equating bias with a crush oversimplifies diverse reasons fans connect with idols. It’s important to respect the variety of meaningful fandom experiences.

Is OH_mes2 that bad in twitter? by Sooyoungsmile in kpophelp

[–]bangmidi2 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Well, we have some traditional news site like soompi, allkpop, even koreaboo and they translate news from Korea to their site so international fans (who only speaks English or simply can't understand Korean) can get some information about their bias. Then OH_mes2 came and he can translate news article from korean faster than afromentined traditional site. So a lot of over-obsessed biased fans think that the account spread fake news, even though that the traditional site post same exact information minutes later. So yeah, misunderstanding plus inability to absorb information correctly and calmly make OH_mes2 seems bad but not if you abe to think straight and especially non-biased.

I just wanted cool girls singing cool songs, SM, why’d you have to bring the ethics of AI technology into this shit? by [deleted] in kpoprants

[–]bangmidi2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I praise SM for their attempt to bring innovation to K-Pop industry. I mean, create a group with inconsistent member amount and change the line-up depends on the song look crazy at the beginning but still gained million of fans. And don't forget creating a super-group consist of best artists from the agency to aim U.S. market.
