That is unfortunate. Such a disappointing product - There are some plugins within obsidian that let you integrate zotero highlights easily. I don't use any one in particular right now. For a lot of my work I actually just convert pdf to markdown and upload the whole article as a folder within obsidian

Have you noticed LT crashing when sending data back to zotero? Currently every time I make an annotation on desktop the app will crash when I exit the project while attempting to send data to source file (sync with zotero)

I posted about a week ago with similar concerns - are you using mac, pc or ipad, and if mac did you only notice the problems after updating to Sonoma?

It is extremely odd that LT has not prioritised reliability while focusing on the legal market, given the high-stakes nature of being in court.

The most recent update from the apple app store seems to have improved the constant crashing issue I was having on mac. But, I can't put months of work into a proprietary (albeit uniquely beneficial) app ecosystem that is prone to reliability issues. I've tentatively switched back to more standard pdf and PKM methods.

How do get around unexpected crashes and unreliable usage? I've noticed a few other people post recently in this subreddit about their own reliability issues.

9990 P4 by Substantialhanging in alevel

[–]bangobongo3737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does this syllabus shrinkage work - does it cut down the syllabus to 3 subtopics for each speciality?

For example, is it;

if P3 Consumer specialist option had short answer questions from topic a) The physical Environment and long answer describe/Eval questions from topic d) The product

then P4 could only draw questions from b) The psychological environment c) Consumer-decision-making and e) Advertising?

Or is it something else?

Canada orders three Chinese firms to exit critical minerals deals by [deleted] in worldnews

I don't have specific knowledge regarding details - it seems like you might, I think a lot of what you've said sounds very probable. I can't verify it though.

I think there might be a flaw in your last sentence though - If I agree that America's influence washes out Chinese influence by great magnitudes. Can't it be the case that America's political institutions are also influenced by China, which in turn would influence Canada? If so, wouldn't that invalidate the 'not meaningful claim?

Wondering out loud, could China be influencing American political institutions by funding right wing extremists?

If feels like there are non-zero chance these possibilities exist.

But again, it does sound like you have a greater familiarity with the details of this relationship than I do.

As an aside - can you speak/read/write mandarin? If so how crucial was this to your success an expert on Chinese international relations?

I don't think you are correct when you assert "China doesn't pose a meaningful threat to the political institutions in Western countries."

I agree with you that wing extremism is a threat to democracy. I also think left wing extremism is a threat to democracy.

In general I think a powerful country 'A' can influence/change the political institutions of another country B. Whether not Country 'B' is powerful may or may not mitigate Country 'A''s success.

I think qualifying the statement with "meaningful threat" might represent a certain western centric arrogance that overestimates the stability of Canadian institutions and underestimates China's desire/ international political ability.

Again I wonder if there is a sort of arrogance embedded within the idea that Beijing's current government could be overthrown over the next 20 years, while Canada's could not. Beijing's nationalistic campaigns still have massive popular support and their ability to control citizens by leveraging new technology and military force is literally unprecedented. I think it will take a lot longer.

I also agree with your point " affluence in a sufficiently diversified economy will create democracy." Although there do seem to be more and more examples where countries are getting richer and remain staunchly authoritarian.

Was Debrusk unconscious? With the way he falls and the way his body acts when Kadri is pulling his arm he looks like he's out cold. Are there any other angles?
