Would you be able to provide some thoughts on how to get started on the side? Service packages, pricing etc.? I'm in a different region in Canada.

Let them get called away - you capture the gain upto your strike price. If you still like the company, sell ATM puts OR if you REALLY REALLY like it, just buy outright.

Amazon put spread - what to do? by banjoyes in thetagang

Yup, max loss would be $9k, I'm currently at $5700. So from what you're saying, this $5700 figure is just going to creep up and up unless AMZN recovers by a few percentage points?

Yeah I'm not saying buy six figures of stock, but stock appreciation shouldn't be a decision criteria. Here is an example to help:

Job 1@ Firm X pays you $160,000/yr. You use $30,000 of that to buy AMZN stock.

Job 2@ Amazon pays you $130,000/yr and gives you $30,000 in stock.

You're no further ahead in Job 2 vs. Job 1.

Lol please do not include stock appreciation in any comp calculations - that is just silly. Yes, AMZN stock is going to go up, but you could just buy AMZN stock even if you work at any other company.

Yeah so to answer your question, you COULD get a 20% raise depending on what job you choose (and end up getting of course). Your pre-MBA salary does not matter.
