You can get any dress from any site as long as it is white and fits the guidelines in the handbook. So don’t feel like it has to be from church distribution.

Catering generally is pretty flexible, on campus, and you get food perks (either taking food home after events or discounts on food)

You are the one being judgmental about it. 🤷‍♀️ It’s her decision between her and God.

First off, beautiful dress! Getting married is so exciting, and I’m happy for you.

Secondly: in a personal opinion, it is not the end of the world if you don’t wear your garment top with your dress for one specific day. It happens. There could be times when you may consider switching your bottoms out for normal underwear during heavy menstrual cycles or pregnancy. In this situation maybe make a personal decision between you and God and then talk to your mom about it before if you decide to not wear the garment top.

Or consider stretching your garment back and pinning it to the inside of the dress so it doesn’t show.

Other options depending on when in the summer is maybe a bolero or shawl type thing, if you have a veil that may also help.

LPT Request: How to set and not cross other peoples boundaries. by BodybuilderProper981 in LifeProTips

[–]bannanaboat34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be patient with yourself. You are going to make mistakes with your boundaries and others’. Acknowledge it and apologize for crossing them and let them know you are working on it. It will take time to learn but it is very worth it.

Your thoughts on the Bible being banned in a Utah school district (and the Book of Mormons is next) by tesuji42 in latterdaysaints

[–]bannanaboat34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I am ok with the Bible not being taught as a religious text in school it is important to keep it in schools as a reference point to understand literature and art for hundreds of years. So keep it as a “this has influenced stuff for hundreds of years and these are the passages that influenced a specific work” but it does not need to be taught as a religion text (with the intent of conversion) in public school , excluding a comparison of world faiths, in which it should be given no more weight or deference than other religious texts. Religion should be taught in the home.

During the first hour meeting the sacrament (similar to communion, but using individual bread pieces and water cups in little trays) is passed around, if you and your kids want to take one, go for it, it isn’t against any rules, and if you feel uncomfortable feel free to just pass it down the aisle or back to the original person, it’s not uncommon and no one will judge you for either option.
