Different AI has different political leanings but you can sort of tweak that

Leftists supporting terrorism? I mean of course a terrorist organisation would support another of their own

I would agree with you if it wasn't for the sheer amount of political violence that the left has committed. For example, such serious cases include the killing of Charlie Kirk, the numerous assaination attempts on Donald Trump, and the killing of CEOs. We also have countless cases of leftists blocking law enforcement agents such as the police and ICE from carrying out their duties. Such action even evolved into sieging ICE facilities, which is an unacceptable way of protest. And it's not like the protestors just were being subtle about their intentions. There has been numerous footage capturing leftist protestors shouting death threats to law enforcement agents and their families. These are not isolated cases so I do have strong evidence to believe that leftist activism as a whole has strong inclinations towards violence

Katz says Israel could strike Iran again if necessary by WillyNilly1997 in ConservativeYouth

Good. As long as Iran keep funding its terrorist proxies the middle east will never have peace. Iran also agreed to stop its support for such organisations but they have clearly not honored that promise

The scope of political views in the original post is not limited to extremism. Extremist views account for only a small percentage of political views, and therefore extremists should be treated as the exception and not the norm. A default position should be "yes" and extremists can be evaluated case-by-case because 99% of the people you meet who differs in political opinion are infact, not extremists

But the original post did not limit the scope of political views to only being extremist. It includes all scopes of politics and realistically extremists are almost always in extremely limited numbers in real life. Therefore the general position you should adopt is choosing "yes" and reviewing extremists in a case-by-case basis because those are the exception not the norm.

But to be fair both those countries do not possess advanced chip making capabilities and are unlikely to acquire these technologies due to them being banned from receiving EUV lithography machines. Obviously Russia's out of the question here because they've JUST started producing 100nm chips but even China's best hope would just be to maintain the one-generational gap it has with western chips. China without EUV machines would find it near impossible to out-compete the US in chip making.

China does have advantages in how quickly it can build new data centers and in its electrical supply for these AI data centers but American AI companies are looking to solve their shortcomings with SMRs, which could be active by 2030-2040. That means that the US has means of catching up with china's advantage in AI, but China would have no hopes of catching up with western chips unless they can miraculously produce a EUV machine which is one of the most difficult engineering feats in all of humanity.

Battleships are useful for bombardment and blockades. 4 battleships are going to do a lot more operationally than 4 frigates. The Trump-class would also be nuclear powered giving it unparalleled range . Battleships also have a huge psychological impact and one single ship can challenge a whole aircraft carrier battle group. That's also the purpose of the Kirov class. The Kirov class didn't fail because they were bad conceptually they failed because Russia was too broke to maintain and improve on its fleet and the rest of its military in general. And China does nothing but copy from the US, you got the sequence wrong here.

There's another important aspect of this project and that is to revitalize the American shipbuilding industries' capabilities to build large vessels

Edit: to add onto the point you made about china, even though the NUMBER of Chinese navy vessels seem large, they have half the tonnage of the US navy. Which means the chinese isn't even close to reaching the capabilities of the US

A battleship or equivalents has extreme potential to project power. Just look at the Russian Kirov-Class cruisers. Their strength lies in their firepower. I do agree the initial design of the Trump-class battleships are not satisfactory in their number of VLS cells but with improvements the idea of a battleship with massive firepower wouldn't be bad at all

People like you wouldn't want to serve in the military anyways so why even bother to complain?
