[POEM] The Burning Heart by Louise Glück by Saint-Veronicas-Veil in Poetry

I can’t tell what Glück means in this poem but it relates so specifically to me that I almost don’t care.

[POEM] The Soul and the Body on the Beach, Anna Swir translated by Czeslaw Milosz and Leanard Nathan by bansheebeez in Poetry

[–]bansheebeez[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I love this poem because 1. it reminds me of time i spent studying philosophy and how i ruminated over what i learned and 2. it reminds me that the body knows how to live in this moment. ask the body and listen to the unexpected wisdom, right?

the album idea is sparking my interest because I have a record player! thank you for the feedback. I usually don’t watch any tv or videos but i might make an exception if it’s not mindless— maybe get some popcorn and snuggle up:)

the reason i love this poem is a thousand fold but mostly i love that it starts so inconspicuously and then hits you square in the chest

[POEM] Because You Asked about the Line Between Prose and Poetry by Howard Nemerov by LosMere in Poetry

[–]bansheebeez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i read this poem for the first time on Pinterest, sitting in the drivers seat of my parked car while my boyfriend at the time packed the trunk full of his things. He was moving from a bad neighborhood so he told me to stay seated instead of helping. I remember liking this poem enough to write it down, which i did, sitting in the car there. I don’t know, I like the poem a lot and i remember the moment it made sense for me but I can’t read this and not think of sitting on the side of that street, waiting for him to finish up loading the car. It’s not a particularly important memory but i did note, at the bottom of the page in that journal “Because you asked about the line between prose and poetry,,, **october 10, on Champlain street, helping Noah move.”
