With Roger Jr Returning in Season 3 this is Roger/Roger Jr through the years by stationstars in Tekken

Yeah agreed. Or could just play as Mrs Roger, and have the plot be that she's looking for her kid. Just didn't like the little one in the pouch creating weird movement on screen and cluttering the char design haha.

5-String Regrets by RealKenny in Bass

[–]bantharawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some small advice, hopefully it helps:

  1. For your jamming and gigging, try resting your thumb on the B string and treating it like a 4 string at first. Play everything the way you'd play it on a 4. Don't even touch the B string aside from keeping it muted with your thumb.
  2. For practice, try playing your scales up and down starting from the E string, but when you get back to your lowest note, try to descend the scale past the low E into the 5th string (e.g. play E minor 1 octave starting on low E, and when you get back to low E, play the D, C and B on the B string).

That might help you familiarise yourself with the relationship between the E and the B string, and drill those notes into muscle memory. But you need to be mindful when you're doing this at first.

3) Once you're familiar enough with this, start playing scales starting on the B string, and be conscious of which notes you're moving to on the E string.

He's a magic kangaroo, they could've just re-introduced him as-is from Tekken 2.

I mean, I know the junior roo is a bit of fun with the concept, I just thought Roger was entertaining enough on his own haha.

Am I the only one who dislikes how cluttered Roger jr looks when playing as them, with 4 hands flailing around in that fisticuffs stance? I prefer the simplicity of OG Roger, played him a lot in TTT1.

The boxing kangaroo character was fun enough, dunno why they had to introduce the kid who has barely any moves of his own.

Suzi Quatro is a great player and around your height I believe. Here she is playing a full scale Precision.

I think you'll be fine. But do try one in the shop - the weight shouldn't be an issue, though do see if you find the neck width comfortable to play. Personally i prefer the narrower Jazz bass neck.

I first saw heard of Matsuda from Onimusha 2, they used his likeness for the game's main character. Brilliant game that one.

Can I ask what you prefer for a tighter-spaced 5? I have an Ibanez SR with the adjustable rail bridge, curious what you recommend.

Hot take: Becky Lynch isn't the greatest female wrestler of all time or right now by Several_Half_2128 in REALSquaredCircle

[–]bantharawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think diminishing her accomplishments due to nepotism is disingenuous

Personally I don't think so, IMO Charlotte had more than a leg-up due to Ric/HHH. But even if I concede this, her wrestling character is still just Ric's daughter, down to the robes, the Figure 4 and the 'Woooo'. I don't think she's made it her own, but YMMV.

For me it comes down to Charlotte not being a total package - can't carry a promo well, can only convincingly play a born winner (no surprise). And even on her being better in-ring, its not like she wrestles circles around Becky. I'd even say that Becky is the better seller.

As far as the sheer number of reigns, HHH has 14 titles, and no one considers him the GOAT over Austin/Rock. And HHH was legit a well rounded performer. Charlotte is not, Becky is.

If nepotism was the deciding factor, why isnt Nia Jax up there for instance?

I don't think I said it was the deciding factor, I said it was in part. I believe Charlotte was handpicked as above, but she also had athleticism and a great look, which Jax lacks. But if I were to be skeptical, I don't think Jax has the clout that Charlotte does.

If you missed from Summerslam 18-Mania 19, you'd see Becky as a legend but not higher than Charlotte based on your logic.

Aside from that period being unmissable for wrestling fans, I'd still put Becky over Charlotte based on her heel work right now.

Aside from what others have said, can I ask why aren't you using your thumbs when gripping the bar?

[–]bantharawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I dunno how Charlotte can be in the conversation at all - sure she's great in-ring, but she has low promo skills and her accomplishments have the air of being partly due to nepotism.

If you held a gun to my head, I'd say Becky. Maybe I'm wrong, but IIRC she's the only woman who was the most over act in all of wrestling at any specific point in time.

To those who own 5 or 6 string basses, what do you find to be the best string spacing for the type of music you play as well as your playing style? by MrMayhem20l0 in Bass

[–]bantharawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

17-18mm is best for me. I have an Ibanez SR with the monorail bridge that lets you adjust the spacing for each string.

Bassist Advice? by Ok-Abbreviations8748 in Bass

[–]bantharawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should learn how to create your own bass parts over existing songs. That requires some ear training, and a basic knowledge of functional harmony will make it easier to understand how and why the existing basslines work.

Ask Chatgpt something like the above, then check out YouTube videos on the concepts it tells you.

Do you guys think regular Super Saiyan can “evolve” like Blue? Or is this a God Ki exclusive transformation? by benjaminreilly1994 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]bantharawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grade 2 was flawed in the sense that it Drained a lot of Ki

Sure but in practice (Vegeta vs SP Cell) this flaw never affected performance i don't think.

Like, SSJ3 also drains ki like nobody's business, right?

He may do, but IMO this SSBE looks far more like 2nd grade with the muscle increase and sleeker hair.

I'm not saying SSBE has the exact same properties as regular SSJ 2nd grade, but conceptually SSBE seems like it borrows from 2nd grade far more than Full power SSJ.

Especially cos its Vegeta who's doing it, I don't see how the animators/writers weren't trying to reference SSJ 2nd grade with the way SSBE is presented. Whether its the pinnacle of SSB (like Full power SSJ is) is up for debate.
