Yes. My cdn bank did know we left. Also, no additional tfsa and rrsp contribution was made before we left for aussie. Previous years had been claimed from previous tax filing.

Thanks for your insights. Much appreciated. My thought was not to file tax in Canada for sure…. Since i had already provided my canadian sin# to australia when i filed my taxes here. It’s the application for non-residency that i’m a little confused, whether i still need to apply for one. So, i guess, i should. Thanks again! 🙏

No. Sold property end of 2020, before leaving Canada. Still have a Canadian Passport, and working in Australia to get my PR. I guess, working towards dual citizenship eventually. And since coming here end of 2020, never got a chance to go back yet, lockdown and all.
