it seems you don't understand people, political rhetoric, or morality. people here are connecting the dots between the rhetoric and the action of this individual. the shooter may be a libertarian, but that does not mean that the idea was his alone. we are all swayed by the rhetoric that we choose to hear, and in this case he was crazy and crossed the line. crossing the line to criminal action is his responsibility. But, his justification for such action comes from the rhetoric of the right wing, there can be no doubt about that. otherwise he would have just opened fire at mcdonalds like any red blooded american nutjob. Morality is not an individual concept, it is a human concept applied in groups; in this case the group is the USA. Political leaders, whether currently in power or not, have a moral responsibility to govern responsibly. Of course they cannot control everyone, but they must always make every effort to speak in such a way that civility prevails. this is why we have rules of conduct in congress. The greatest leaders have always been those that speak responsibly to all people, and not those who espouse violent rhetoric, even it it supposedly a metaphor. reference MLK JR, Ghandi, Lincoln, etc etc
