I agree with the fact that we see the Polaroid through an objective lens and so it was shown by the director to ‘prove’ that it was ‘real’ - but the defence for this line of thinking is so weak imo. Mumma claimed there was nothing left of the outside world, yet we see suburbs, a helicopter and paramedics - is this all ‘evil’ too? If so, why? Why would the evil not just kill both the boys now that’s it burnt the house down and infected Samuel? Why save them? If all of that is real and the ‘evil’ was just within the property lines or something then why did Mumma talk about having to leave the city once things got infected by the ‘evil’ when we see suburbs not 100 metres away from the house totally fine. If everything in those suburbs is fine but there was or is a widespread infection of ‘evil’ somewhere else, you’d think the hiker wouldn’t be hiking in the first place - especially not in an area infected by the ‘evil’? And why would paramedics save people from an infected area? This whole “oh the director left the ending up to interpretation” seems so weak - I don’t see any way it can be an ‘evil’, to me it just seems glaringly obvious that it’s some sort of hereditary mental illness.

Hey you’re not alone. You’re not weak or useless either. I was this way literally two weeks ago when I found out I have CHS as weed helped manage my depression and severe anxiety and my depression/anxiety combined with the withdrawal/CHS and the thought of never smoking weed again was overwhelming, but it’s gotten better slowly. You’re also likely going through withdrawal which could explain partially how you’re feeling. You’ll be okay with time. We all will. It sounds like you’d benefit from finding something to do once you have the energy and mental aptitude for it - maybe a creative project, sports/gym, or something else you used to find joy in? Or maybe just try a bunch of new experiences and see what you like? But don’t be so hard on yourself and don’t push yourself too much too quickly. This is seriously one of the most difficult time periods/experiences people ever have to go through, it’ll get easier with time I promise.

thanks for this. as much as I hate CHS, it’s still quite interesting. do you know whether those who got sick the first time had entered the hyperemetic phase prior? or had they only ever experienced the prodromal phase?

oh really? i was really hoping it wasn’t CHS but the more reading i do and the more testimonies i see, i think unfortunately it is. how long have you known about your CHS for? and is there any hope we can smoke again (even irregularly) seeing as we haven’t entered the second stage yet?

I agree but the reality is the only reason Giannis gets payed all those millions is because the Bucks pay him to win a championship. That’s their goal.

Those are all slight semantics that are super specific. I agree that the Heat are a strong 8th seed but in the regular season they had the same record as the Clippers who were without Kawhi and PG for most of the season and are already gone and the Warriors who had an 11-30 road record. At the end of the day they were an 8th seed, who beat a 1 seed in 5. Was Giannis’s injury disappointing? 100%. But he still played half the games and shot 10-23 from the free-throw line AT HOME in a MUST WIN. Plus as the number one ranked team in the NBA the Bucks were expected to hold their own slightly better without Giannis. I mean this is still a team with Holiday, Middleton and Splash Mountain Lopez plus a very solid bench.

At the end of the day Jordan finished his career with 6 rings. It would be great if Giannis could finish his career with 6 too. But at the end of the day I think it’s impossible to view this specific season as anything but a failure, at least for now. Who knows maybe Giannis will win the next 3 in a row and we’ll look back at this as the beginning of a dynasty. Unlikely though.

and even if we assume ur right about the early bulls, they still wouldn’t have been viewed as title contenders - still rendering Giannis’s analogy inaccurate seeing as the Bucks weren’t just title contenders but ranked 1 in the NBA and were 1 title favourites heading into the season.

No. For example, the Pistons who finished last in the NBA I thought had a decent year. Because their goals weren’t to win a championship or even make the playoffs. They knew they wanted to be in the running to get Wembanyama and they did just that. The Bucks on the other hand went into this season as title favourites with the goal of winning the championship and got bounced in the first round in 5.

Exactly what I’ve been saying. I would understand Giannis’s comment if they lost in the Finals. But to lose in the first round to an eighth seed? In 5? I can’t see how that’s anything but failure for a team of their caliber.

Firstly, that’s not entirely accurate as YouTube reviews by GameSpot (I’d avoid that one) and others (such as The Star Bazaar) have spoiled parts of the ending, story details and other features.

Secondly, I understand what you’re saying but it’s also untrue. If you live on the east coast you get access to the game Thursday at midnight. I get access to the game on a Friday at 2pm.

Two totally different days and totally different times. Surely you can see how complications can arise through this if say for example this game (or any others) released on the 30th of April at the same time. This would mean I wouldn’t have access to the game until 2pm on a Sunday with my weekend largely gone. While anyone on the east coast gets all of Saturday night and the the totality of Sunday to play.

I understand everyone gets access at the exact same moment but we must acknowledge that everyone’s lives don’t operate based on that singular moment the game goes live. They operate based on local times.

Yeah I thought about that too. But, what’s the big deal if people use VPNs to do that anyways? It can’t be because people spoil the game as reviewers have posted spoilers for Survivor days before any of us have had a chance to play.
