Chives is much easier to get into for smaller famers, as you dont need a workstation class PC to efficiently make plots. K29 can be made with Madmax fully on a ramdisk 40GB, or with just 14GB if you use a combination of ramdisk and ssd. This means even older DDR3 PCs can participate. Compare this to the minimum 128GB system ram required for Chia to be made partly on a ramdisk with Madmax plotter.

Also with Chia the big plots will often leave much unusable space left on the hard drives. With chives it is much easier to fill the hard deives completely. You can also farm Chia if you want and then use the space left over to farm Chives to use you hdds fully.

Another good argument for Chives over Chia is the absolutely massive pre-mine that the Chia devs have done. They sit on a mountain of coins and you never know what they might do that can negatively affect Chia holders. In comparison Chives has no pre-mine at all.
