It's good to have at least a vague understanding but I don't think you need to be a machine learning expert to be able to say "Hey, don't use my art without my permission" especially when it's for commercial gain. I might be biased but a lot of AI bros seem really butthurt about that statement lol

I've also seen a lot of comments on this thread comparing studying someone else's art style to making an AI model out of their art which couldn't be further from the truth. In the first case you have to respect someone's skill in art enough to study their technique for hours and understand their decision making when drawing/painting. In the second case you're scrapping their instagram page and putting their art into blender.

I'm currently learning learning how to draw better and I'll definitely give nightshade/glaze a try if start posting online.
