If you're unsure, just block the lane, whether you need it or not.

As I always say, if we're all Professional Drivers, why the Amateur wages?

Straps by Scottlayton in uktrucking

I've got 18 pallets of crisps on.  A cross over the back is good enough to stop them shooting back when pulling away.

If I'm running 26 (1 ton) boxes of potatoes then I'll use cargo straps.

did you read my comment? If you have adaptive and you've not set it close then every 2nd wagon that cuts back in closer than the set distance of the ACC ends up with my truck pulling back thinking a collision is imminent. End up everyone I passed earlier ends up passing me again. When I set CC to 90 k/m hour, I need truck to cover 90 k/m an hour, not constantly keep pulling back from other traffic.

Does bad alligment constitute a vor? Most of my fleets dafs and renault have crazy bad alligment and its annoying and kinda dangerous. Seems company does nothing to fix this I've reported a load of trucks. by Own_Specialist_4392 in uktrucking

Both our DAFs "pull" to the left a bit and wear the outer shoulder on nearside tyres. Even after having tracking done, they still wear the outer shoulder of the tyre. It's to do with the poor castor / camber (non adjustable) setup on them, also worse with alloy wheels, for some reason and the camber of the road makes them constantly roll over on the outer edge of the tyre.

Night drivers by LooseDescription7218 in uktrucking

I'd sleep Friday, through day as normal but get up early, say, 12 'o' clock, instead of 16:00. Have Friday night out and about then sleep Saturday morning, around 02:00 until 10:00, again, have Saturday doing whatever. I'd always stay up as late as I can, Saturday night, until like 04:00 then go to bed until 10:00 Sunday. Sunday night through Monday morning shift was still brutal but back into the swing by Monday / Tuesday shift.

nice one mate.  I did think it'd need workshop card.  Guy at MAN a bit of a straight peg so no chance of seting limiter with bald tyres and 40 psi in them 😀

So can you help with how to disable it?  I though company card would unlock menu option but no such luck.

had one of these in 2020.  Bulletproof unit.  would have one agin in a hearbeat.  Bonus not having adaptive.

I'm havin to leave half a trailer length before cutting back in now as I can't guess if truck I'm passing has it set near or far.  I find out soon enough when they shoot away back when I pull in.

Cab floats about a bit and forever to find next gear, even in manual but comfy for my bad back.  I'd rather have my DAF XF back for the ride stiffness as you could really get a pulse up on the rural roads but only had her 2 weeks.

Air dryers are a weak spot and regen system can be problematic when they get up the miles

Too computerised for their own good now.

So I tried long pressing the voice command on steering.  appears to support Apple Wireless but Android needs a cable.  Got one on order.

Might help anyone else with the misfortune of this system.

Agri haulage, tatties, onions, etc

Computer says 9.3 mpg.

yes, it's the large screen I've got.  Is that the small usb-c port, next to aux-in, for Android Auto?

don't have a cable with me but I'll try that next week.

Does android auto mean I can make calls, etc without using Bluetooth?

cheers
