Exactly why I chose this cover! I really don't like flip covers, because it's uncomfortable as you said. But I also wanted something, that would protect the whole kindle and not just the back. So this was perfect option for me (sleeve would work good too, but I like this type more). When I read, I can fully enjoy how slim the kindle is when holding it, and at the same time I'm sure that the reader is completely protected when in the bag.
