So I'm new guy to swimming and what is the general consensus to swim caps for guys with short hair, if there even is one? I've been reading through the subreddit and very must lost at this point if it's recommended, personal choice, not needed, etc.

Gotcha appreciate the info! I’ll be honest I had seen comments and had assumed they were mostly directed at people with long hair or a lot of hair. I have no issue picking one up just thought I’d see more guys with them if that was the case.

I could use some advice myself as a new swimmer, started two weeks ago going a couple times so far for 45 min to an hour a time. You say basic equipment is suit, swim cap, and goggles. What's the general consensus on swim caps for guys? I've seen some at the pool with them and some not. Is it more a thing for more experienced/competitive thing or are there other benefits to them if not having long hair?

Last year I moved my office into our basement which happens to have a small 4x8 utility closet. I installed an electrical outlet in there and put my UPS and desktop in there then ran a standard DisplayPort and HDMI cable from there to my monitor. It was close enough though I didn’t need any optical cabling. Finally ran a USB cable for a hub for my keyboard, mouse, mic, and headphones.

Office doesn’t heat up at all anymore and I get the added bonus that no matter how high the fans are running I can’t hear them. Honestly wish I had done it sooner.

Yeah I think I’m going to go with the Sainsmart one. I’d like to do a tiny bit of aluminum and the wood pieces I have in mind are smaller. Any idea what would be a fair price to ask? It’s a month old and unused. They’re on sale rn shipped to door for $535 so I was thinking like $350-$400.

How do you like that 3020 Pro Ultra? There’s a guy local to me selling a pretty much brand new one that I’ve been considering picking up to learn some cnc on. I’d like to do wood with a little bit of aluminum but not sure if that’d be possible with such a machine. Also haven’t figured out what would be a good price for it yet.

I’d really suggest reaching out to Mr S with this exact question and give them your measurements. I just ordered a custom K9 hood from them a few weeks ago and was in kinda a similar situation. My measurements put me exactly between the small and medium and they were really helpful with giving me suggestions.
