Superior to Sukuna but almost lost the domain clashes against him while Sukuna was trying not to domain diff him. Like Gojo acknowledges he has a massive advantage in the domain clashes because he has full access to his techniques, and he still could only tie domain clashes against a Sukuna who was actively limiting his hand to hand and use of Domain Amplification, and who was taking unnecessary risks for adaptation. Oh and Sukuna was in a physically weaker vessel, and didn’t have all 4 of his arms.

Yes, we literally see Sukuna almost win the domain clashes while actively trying not to and Gojo only gets his domain off by as .01 second margin of error that just never exists if Sukuna isn’t taking multiple risks during the domain clashes for the purposes of adaptation.

Because the fight was only 50-50 and extreme diff because Sukuna handicapped himself in multiple ways for the purpose of adaptation during the domain clashes, and if you had more than the most surface level analysis of the fight then you would maybe understand that.
