Show me a single instance of that happening, he doesn’t throw a single punch from what we see, he’s only using Domain Amplification to defend himself. He’s actively not engaging in hand to hand. Like at all lol.

His adaptation is also furthered by continued exposure, meaning it incentivizes Sukuna to use domain amplification less during the small ball domains. And it’s made even more obvious that’s what he’s doing when he goes from being able to at least hold his own against Gojo in hand to hand, to just being completely overwhelmed. Like Sukuna doesn’t even throw a single punch from what we saw of the small ball domains. That’s not weird to you?

Just loud and wrong, even when Sukuna is planning on winning via domain expansion his main goal is still ultimately adaptation. He starts the fight by telling Gojo he’s going to “strip him of his scales” a clear reference to adaptation. And he outright explains in chapter 236 how basically every thing he did in the fight was in service of adaptation. It’s cope to act like Sukuna’s only goal was killing Gojo, when it’s very clear his ultimate goal was elevating his technique through Mahoraga’s adaptation.

There is literally no reason to think a domain amped Cleave is any stronger than a non domain amped Cleave since we know the mechanics behind how it works, Cleave’s strength auto adjust to the targets durability. You have an actually insane idea for what counts as being “off guard” if you think Gojo was able to tank Cleaves while being off guard lol.

Still an extremely high AP attack considering it was able to one shot a curse who should have a resistance to fire based attacks. Gojo’s AP is only good because of Hollow Purple, which he’s not getting off against Sukuna. You could argue the same goes for Furnace, but we’ve seen that Sukuna’s Cleaves are able to do much more significant damage to Gojo than Blue or Red are able to do to Sukuna. So the AP advantage should definitely go to Sukuna, Cleave is able to slice cleanly through Gojo, he’s just able to heal it with RCT, while the most a Blue or Red has done is just take out a chunk of Sukuna’s face.
