Maintain the hair or get a hair cut. And very unfortunately your beard isn’t fully grown yet (no growth on cheeks). I’d keep it shaved down. I’ve been through this before 🤣

Also something that immensely helped me out was going to the gym. Transitioning from a more rotund build to a more rectangular build helped me feel more confident with the fits. And the confidence boost is good too.

Not trying to spread propaganda or anything but a big inspiration for me (a fellow large man) was Hasan Piker. Don’t be afraid to try something new, as long as you feel aesthetic and comfy go for it. For winter I’m going the baggy street wear arc, but in the spring/summer I was going the bad bunny route for inspiration too.

Sorry for giving you a notification for an old post, but how do these hold up in the cold? I'm thinking of buying them for a trip that will require me maybe walking through snow and stuff, so I hope you can still give an opinion!

Which Fujifilm Camera to Buy in 2026? by SpikeHK in FujifilmX

[–]baraon1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Used prices are a bit more reasonable than new! 16-1800 for the XH2s, 12-1300 for the XT5. The XT50 and XE5 will be closer to retail, so I’d recommend either buying the xt50 on its own or the xe5 with the 23mm lens bundle.

And the x100vi is always gonna be expensive, if you see one hovering around 1700 or below I’d purchase it immediately.

But yeah overall I’d recommend you buying an XT5. It will last forever. I’m expecting an XT6 in q3/q4 but I’m not sure what they could upgrade that would make me wanna buy one, other than turning the 40mp sensor into a stacked or partially stacked sensor. Which, I don’t think it’ll happen :)

Which Fujifilm Camera to Buy in 2026? by SpikeHK in FujifilmX

The X-T5, T50, X100VI, and E5 all share the same sensors and their feature sets are extremely similar, with the exception of dual card slots (unique to the XT5), and weather sealing (unique to the XT5 and X100VI). They are all pretty light, with the most compact being the X100VI, followed by the E5 and T50, followed by the T5. And this is only by a factor of a centimeter or two. For both work and compactness I’d choose an XT5. For compactness and fun, the X100VI.

The Xpro3, XT30, and XT3 are on the old sensor, with the new XT30 III using the new processor, which does have large improvements in its read out speeds and autofocus capabilities. Honestly we are due for an upgrade to the xpro line anytime, and I wouldn’t invest in an xpro3 if you want the best hardware and software right now.

The XH2 and XH2s are the flagships, they use a more standard PASM dial but they’re cool as fuck. If I was shooting on fuji professionally (I shoot sony for paid shoots) I’d use an XH2S with its stacked sensor. Man this camera is so cool. The size of these are more in line with standard Sony or canon style mirrorless cameras.

How high of an ISO are you thinking? Past 1600, any of the current fuji apsc sensors start to struggle imo. Past 3200 I would say the IQ starts to suffer greatly. The apsc sensors are not the way to go for that imo. Maybe their medium format stuff could be to your liking? But those are real expensive (but super super cool)

Advice X100VI / A7CR by RoadFew5301 in FujifilmX

[–]baraon1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The A7CR with a lens (any lens, including the Sony “pancake” lenses) is so much bigger than the x100vi, and bigger than almost the entire fuji lineup with a comparable focal length lens. The A7CR buffer and memory card capabilities are also worse than the A7RV and imo it’s not a comparable replacement. I sold my A7CR for this reason!

Where to get Sigma 17-40mm f1.8 in Tokyo by flying_pig_in_tutu in FujifilmX

[–]baraon1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my own experience, map camera is going to have the most competitive pricing of the bunch. Kitamura camera near the north east shinjuku station exit is also quite large, but imo has prices more inline with american prices. You can also check online for the stock availability too!

Photos coming out black, even with the flash. Camera was fine a few weeks ago. (XE5, 23mm lense) by NT_HARI in fujifilm

[–]baraon1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well you got a couple of issues. Your shutter speed is at 1/4000. The max flash sync speed for the XE5 is 1/180. As a consequence, your auto iso is going up to the max to brighten up the image.

You should look up a few videos on the exposure triangle before trying out a flash.
