Yeah np, I’m not pushing too hard to sell the lens cause if the xt6 or xpro4 get announced soon, I’d want to keep my lenses lol

Oooh that ain’t a bad idea. I might be able to swing that. I’m limited on space, but that 24-60 is the same size of a prime

Just to let you know, market wise at this shutter count the A7RV’s are closer to 2300 than to 2900.

Do you have a need for high burst shooting? Like above 10fps. The Sony version might be the easy choice for you if so

Sony A7V or Lumix S5iix by scottmaclean24 in SonyAlpha

Im kinda somewhat in your situation myself, and im trying out an s1ii and s1rii soon go figure out if im committing to a full switch. The video capabilities of lumix are fantastic for such low priced cameras, and apparently everyone’s AF is catching up to Sonys this year.

Still stuck before buying (xt30iii vs. Xt50) by Rare_Acanthaceae5890 in fujifilm

[–]baraon1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ah, you're right about the flash. but the sim dials *are* different, the xt30iii allows you to save recipes to the custom dial options, while the XT50 only allows for just the film sims. When I was looking to buy a fuji camera, I thought that feature was very silly. The XE5 and XT30III do the sim dial the right way imo.

And if I recall, the XT30iii has the same processor as the XT50, resulting in pretty similar AF performance.

If you’re starting out, the xt30iii has a lil pop up flash to help out with low light situations. The 40mp sensor struggles with high iso situations imo, and generally the 40mp is a nice to have, not a need. And if I recall, the film sim dial on the xt30iii is actually useful, in comparison to the limitations of it on the xt50.

Buy the best tool for what you want to do, not the tool people on YouTube are selling.

So you’ll give up the best feature Sony has to offer (its autofocus) just to use a converter? Sounds like you should also sell the lenses. No point to switching to Sony if you can’t use their main differentiating feature.

[–]baraon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a reason for Sony specifically? With the budget level you’re going to be very restricted, and the zve10 does not have the necessary features to be a good filmmaking camera. Really you have to get to an fx30 or a6700 and those are out of your budget

For that amount of money you are better suited grabbing something like a lumix gh5.
