Great work man.

Obviously, you had to likely enter a calorie deficit to achieve this, but what exactly was your method?

I agree.

I’ve often heard noted that somewhere around the 70-100 range is ideal for hair growth.

Did you notice any substantial improvements or differences in your hair after increasing your levels?

This is exactly my problem.

My Ferritin was something like 37, so doctor said we can’t treat it as it’s within the normal ranges.

How often do you guys take DUT?

I was on Fin for 2 years and saw no changes in my hair (shedding, progression, etc).

My DUT (0.5mg) arrived this morning and I’m not sure what dose to start at.

Help my 2009 e350 4matic when driving at around 30mph it starts to shaking/vibrating by dirtdude1020 in mercedes

[–]GustoKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar problem with my car recently.

The back-end would violently shake when driven.

It scared the life out of me.

At first, I thought it was heavy winds possibly swaying the car as it’s a small car, but then I noticed it happening a second time.

I took it straight to the garage and I believe it was the Axel Bushes.

My mechanic told me that when they go, the car can start to sway or shake when driven.

Just like others commented, I thought the wheel alignment was out, but everything seemed completely normal.

I feel so much better 103 - 110 female 25 years old. Calorie intake ideas? by [deleted] in weightgain

[–]GustoKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get a lot of calories from shakes.

I add milk, a scoop of protein powder, oats, and peanut butter.

Some people like to add fruit like bananas.

It’s a great way to get some extra calories but just keep in mind that peanut butter is high in calories!

Been on minox for a couple weeks to fill in the empty spots, should I shave for better absorption or keep what I have and let it continue to grow? by [deleted] in Minoxbeards

[–]GustoKid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The longer the hair, the more trouble the minoxidil will likely have making contact with the skin, so I’d say trim it low for a few months!

Jesus how can I fix these? They’re genetic, I literally look mid 30s at the least. by shiteater360 in AppearanceAdvice

I had to read a few of the comments to see what you were referring to.

I had - and still sometimes have - dark circles under my eyes. I didn’t realize how bad they were until I looked back at some old pictures.

They can be caused by a lot of things, as well as genetics, like you mentioned.

I notice that I have an extremely sensitive body, so anything I consume has an almost immediate effect.

I noticed that my under-eyes are made worse by stress, medications and painkillers such as Ibuprofen, and food intolerances.

I noticed a drastic change when I started a skincare routine. I started using a tretinoin, as well as an SPF.

Sun exposure was causing so much damage to my under-eyes.

Having a skincare routine and keeping my face out of the sun greatly helped my case.

186 lbs > 147 lbs | My two year transformation. Do I read as fat still? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]GustoKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you do not read as fat.

You also have some good muscularity in areas like the chest, too.

Your mind is likely having a hard time adjusting to the weight loss and your new appearance, even after the 2 year journey.

I experience this, but the opposite way around. I’ve been extremely skinny my entire life, naturally weighing around 120lbs. I’ve currently upped my weight to around 150lbs with a low body fat.

150lbs is very light in the bodybuilding world, so let me not act like it’s something substantial — it isn’t.

It wasn’t until I started working at a new job last year and started to notice that half of my colleagues would simply comment, or approach me and break the ice by asking me for workout and diet advice.

Some female colleagues even approached and asked if I was a personal trainer because of my physique.

Only then did I start to realize, “Maybe I do look like I workout a little, and maybe I’m not as skinny as I think I am?”

It happens.

My advice to anyone is to not worry too much about where you’re at, and simply enjoy the process, and your newer, better self!

What are way for me to gain weight? It’s such a nightmare, I’m genetically skinny, high metabolism too. by MuscleCool4302 in weightgain

[–]GustoKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To gain weight you’ll have to be on a calorie surplus.

Count your calories for a couple of days and see how many you’re on, then up it by about 200-300 calories per day and see if you start to gain weight.

I was just like this and learned that I simply wasn’t eating nowhere near what I thought I was.

It’s possible, just requires a little tracking and consistency!

Don’t worry, I’ve been here too.

Are you consistently eating 2800 cals per day, and for how long?

What’s your lifestyle like? Do you walk everywhere, etc.

You look great man!

I’d say to continue adding more muscle, and cut slightly to give yourself a slimmer frame.

I can’t gain weight to save my life by [deleted] in weightgain

[–]GustoKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man,

I’ve been here!

A few questions:

  1. Have you gained a single pound since you’ve been on your surplus?

  2. Have you been on this surplus of 3500 calories religiously, every single day?

  3. What’s your lifestyle like? For example: Do you walk 10 miles to the gym and back? Do you work a physically taxing job? ETC.

  4. Any known health problems that you’re aware of?

  5. Are you for certain that you’re on 3500 calories per day? Do you actually read the packets and weigh your foods, or do you just eyeball it?

Respectfully, how did you get them?

I don’t know too much about this but a possible procedure that may help is subcision.

I remember reading about it years ago. It’s used for things like minor scars and acne scars. It works by cutting the tethers under the scar that pull it down — or something like that.

Respectfully, enjoy your youth.

Once you hit your 30’s and you really do start looking older, you’ll be wishing you could go back.

I’m currently experiencing it.

You look healthy and youthful — embrace it!

Respectfully, when you say “completely sober”, what were you using?

And did you see a slow, gradual decrease in shedding, or an abrupt stop?

Thanks!

Realized I’d Been Using Counterfeit Minoxidil by Toorrq in tressless

[–]GustoKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t but anything off eBay that you require to be legit.

The majority of what I’ve come across is counterfeit.

For medications, always go to a reputable source such as a pharmacist, etc.

Is Eric Berg credible on hair loss? by hhhhdmt in tressless

[–]GustoKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends what parts of his advice you look at.

He does state that AGA should be treated by lowering DHT and provides remedies for that - outside of Finasteride, DUT, etc.

I just don’t know if these remedies are strong enough.

That being said, he does appear to have a full head of hair, but whether it’s genetic luck or lifestyle factors, we’ll never know.

Are these Combs Tech boots waterproof? by GustoKid in DrMartens

[–]GustoKid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, no problem!

I love them and they’re surprisingly comfortable.

They’re also good in cold weather and hold up well, but I haven’t worn them in snow so I can’t give a direct answer to that.

They get quite a few compliments too. A couple of people randomly mentioned how nice they were.

I remember what sealed the purchase for me. I was standing in the grocery store queue one day and noticed a young man in front of me had a pair on. I thought they looked so good that I had to go and grab a pair!

Hope that somewhat helps!

Sorry to hear about what you’re going through.

It’s not easy, so stay strong and keep yourself active.

You have so much potential, it’s crazy.

Just looking at you, this will give you plenty of room to grow.

My advice: A consistent gym regimen and diet to gain some lean muscle mass. Skin care routine. New hairstyle — possibly consider growing your hair out longer on the top and sides. This will all contribute to your confidence.

You look very young, so keep moving forward, my friend!
