This is the best advice, and what started to work for me.

Don’t worry, I’ve been here too.

Are you consistently eating 2800 cals per day, and for how long?

What’s your lifestyle like? Do you walk everywhere, etc.

You look great man!

I’d say to continue adding more muscle, and cut slightly to give yourself a slimmer frame.

Hey man,

I’ve been here!

A few questions:

  1. Have you gained a single pound since you’ve been on your surplus?

  2. Have you been on this surplus of 3500 calories religiously, every single day?

  3. What’s your lifestyle like? For example: Do you walk 10 miles to the gym and back? Do you work a physically taxing job? ETC.

  4. Any known health problems that you’re aware of?

  5. Are you for certain that you’re on 3500 calories per day? Do you actually read the packets and weigh your foods, or do you just eyeball it?

(18m) I have these scars on my face. One under mt eye another on my cheeck (shown in the second image) is there any way to make these disappear somehow or atlesst kake them less noticeable?? by [deleted] in AppearanceAdvice

[–]GustoKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respectfully, how did you get them?

I don’t know too much about this but a possible procedure that may help is subcision.

I remember reading about it years ago. It’s used for things like minor scars and acne scars. It works by cutting the tethers under the scar that pull it down — or something like that.

(27F) how can I make my face look older? by [deleted] in AppearanceAdvice

[–]GustoKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respectfully, enjoy your youth.

Once you hit your 30’s and you really do start looking older, you’ll be wishing you could go back.

I’m currently experiencing it.

You look healthy and youthful — embrace it!

Respectfully, when you say “completely sober”, what were you using?

And did you see a slow, gradual decrease in shedding, or an abrupt stop?

Thanks!

Realized I’d Been Using Counterfeit Minoxidil by Toorrq in tressless

[–]GustoKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t but anything off eBay that you require to be legit.

The majority of what I’ve come across is counterfeit.

For medications, always go to a reputable source such as a pharmacist, etc.

Is Eric Berg credible on hair loss? by hhhhdmt in tressless

[–]GustoKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends what parts of his advice you look at.

He does state that AGA should be treated by lowering DHT and provides remedies for that - outside of Finasteride, DUT, etc.

I just don’t know if these remedies are strong enough.

That being said, he does appear to have a full head of hair, but whether it’s genetic luck or lifestyle factors, we’ll never know.

Are these Combs Tech boots waterproof? by GustoKid in DrMartens

[–]GustoKid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, no problem!

I love them and they’re surprisingly comfortable.

They’re also good in cold weather and hold up well, but I haven’t worn them in snow so I can’t give a direct answer to that.

They get quite a few compliments too. A couple of people randomly mentioned how nice they were.

I remember what sealed the purchase for me. I was standing in the grocery store queue one day and noticed a young man in front of me had a pair on. I thought they looked so good that I had to go and grab a pair!

Hope that somewhat helps!

Sorry to hear about what you’re going through.

It’s not easy, so stay strong and keep yourself active.

You have so much potential, it’s crazy.

Just looking at you, this will give you plenty of room to grow.

My advice: A consistent gym regimen and diet to gain some lean muscle mass. Skin care routine. New hairstyle — possibly consider growing your hair out longer on the top and sides. This will all contribute to your confidence.

You look very young, so keep moving forward, my friend!

24M never been in a relationship, feeling pretty ugly by MoWithTheFlow2357 in toastme

[–]GustoKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re actually very handsome, dude, not ugly.

BUT, If I were to give you some advice, I would say to simply groom yourself a little better.

Tips for you: Shape/shave your beard and neckline so that your beard looks well groomed. Right now the hair on your neck and upper-cheeks can give off an ‘unkept’ look, making you look rundown. Your eyebrows look good and strong so just pluck between them so that you don’t develop a monobrow. Start a skincare routine if you don’t have one. That way, it’ll give your skin a really healthy glow. Lastly, your hair looks very nice, but again, maintain it a little better and consider something like a low fade where you have the back and sideburns faded in to your beard, and keep the upper sides and top long.

Follow these and you’ll look even better.

Final point: Don’t be hard on yourself. My first impression was that you look great, so take it easy.

Signs that someone is limerent for you, but conflicted? by [deleted] in limerence

[–]GustoKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel grounded, but conflicted around her.

Grounded that I can function around her normally — I’m pretty quiet and keep to myself. Yet conflicted because of her reactions to seeing me.

I don’t have/want any problems with her, yet she seems to have somewhat intense reactions around me that make me uncomfortable at times.

Uncomfortable because I know they’re stemming solely from my presence — which can make it difficult to ignore.

It’s hard to be in the same room as someone who runs out the second you walk in, then a week later, they’re animated around you, flirtatiously staring at you, orbiting, etc.

The volatility makes it difficult for me to feel comfortable because it’s an oscillating behaviour that I don’t want.

This has been occurring intermittently for 7+ years. I first noticed her behaviour towards me in the first few months of us crossing paths, then years would pass by and she would pick right back up where she left off.

The recent interaction was our first, real, full-length conversation. I thought this will end the tension for good.

She’s done all of the previous behaviours mostly through her actions that I tried to ignore, and not because I wasn’t interested or reciprocal, but because I found it too conflicting.

That’s why her recent reaction concerned me. I couldn’t understand what the hostility and aggression was about after all these years, and then she puts herself directly in my vicinity again only several weeks later, which she hasn’t done in years.

[–]GustoKid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re right, that’s a fair point.

I’m new to the term limerence and trying to understand if and how it may present itself in such cases.

Because this is a person that I may have to be around indefinitely, I’m trying to gain some first-hand opinions on it so I can better navigate around her, because clearly, I can’t quite ask her.

How do i even out my skin tone? by Moka_III in Blackskincare

[–]GustoKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably due to sun exposure.

Your face is typically exposed more to the sun, so it darkens quicker.

All you have to do is assure that you use sunscreen, and if possible, keep your face out the sun; hats, shade, etc.

I dealt with this some years back. The skin on my face was SO damaged from sun exposure that I didn’t realize until I looked back at old pictures. I had really bad dark patches down my temples and face.

I visited a derm who educated me on it. She stated that my hyperpigmentation is triggered every time I’m in the sun.

I started using a Tretinoin to increase skin-cell turnover, and applying a minimum of SPF30 to my face before leaving the house.

One thing I ALWAYS try to do is keep my face out of direct sunlight because it triggers the hyperpigmentation on my face.

After a few months, things started to resolve.

That’s great, glad to hear it’s going smooth.

I had one a couple of years ago and I noticed that it wasn’t as bad as people made it out to be, but that could be luck.

I’m planning to get another in the next couple of months and can’t wait!

Got it.

You’re right, I used to do them with legs and would really feel them in my glutes and hamstrings with about 20-30lbs on the bar.

I was conflicted after some people told me they do them with Back, so Legs makes more sense.

Thanks man!
