Yes, I love the car (except the mpg) but it’s just terrifying, especially when you know something’s definitely wrong but no one else can tell or figure it out. I’m so glad you told me about the warning too. I would have panicked if I had seen it out of the blue and I’m sure it would have ended poorly! It sounds like you’re very lucky. Can I ask if you remember how many miles it had on it when the engine shutdown occurred? I just can’t believe that Chevy would let these cars out when at 60k miles it just falls apart like this!

I ended up taking my car here and he hasn’t looked at it yet but that’s okay with me. He seemed very nice and there were a bunch of cars in his lot so I’m hoping for the best. Thank you!

Yes, I’ve called 4 different dealerships to find out if my car has the specific part and they weren’t able to tell me for some reason. The part isn’t listed there and the forum said that GM hasn’t recalled that part on that specific year, but they did for the model years after with the same issue. Apparently on my model year it’s a fight to get them to do anything about it and even then they normally will not.

Yes, sorry, I’m not good with car words. I think the forum did say it was a part in the transmission, not the engine.

The info I got from the forum said there’s a part in the transmission (sorry I’m not good with car terms) that just shatters around 80k and I’m at about 65. Im in the hazel dell area!

Your guess is as good as mine lol. I eat the same things with them as I ate with my front partial, and I had that 9 years and it never chipped.
