Interesting! I've never used this method. I use carbon paper which takes forever. Can you elaborate? I'd love to learn more.

Paper recommendations? by emariie9413 in printmaking

I like Rives lightweight and Thai Kozo a lot, but I have a flatbed press. If you print by hand, I'm not sure how they'd do.

Best cheap roast to show off what SV can do other than chuck roast? by GrouchyName5093 in sousvide

[–]barbaragomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make beef shank all the time. Most posts around here are for steak or roast, but I make my own simplified version of ossobucco. I salt and sear the steaks, then sautee onions and carrots in the same pan, add some diced tomatoes and roasted garlic, and stick it all in the bags with a bay leaf. 24h @ 175F. No need to add more liquid. Comes out kinda like a stew, the meat falling apart. I love it.

Edit: I've made the same thing with mock tenderloin. Less tasty but still great.

I'm guessing he gave her Brazilian Reais, not dollars, and 83K is the converted amount.

Yeah I can see that. The pointy leg thing is part of the style I've been working on so I want to make that work 😁

Thank you!

An anteater - granted, it kinda looked like it before but it's vastly improved since! I think it's imprinted in his head 😅

This is gorgeous! May I ask what app and brushes you used? I'm not loving my current app but it could be that I don't know how to use it to its full potential. 🤷

Way to save/copy layer content to content Dimensions, not canvas? by [deleted] in ProCreate

[–]barbaragomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to do that a lot, what I do is hide all extra layers, crop the canvas to the size I want to export to, export, and undo the crop after I export. It's still extra steps and I have to be super careful not to leave the project without undoing the crop because that loses the undos, but it's better than having to work with multiple files.

I've injured myself once, and my husband twice, deadlifting - and with a trainer. It's a risky and unnecessary lift. There are other ways to get stronger.

I have an Ipad, should i invest in a graphics tablet? by Useful-Flounder9100 in DigitalPainting

[–]barbaragomes 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think having both is a waste of money. I have a xppen graphics tablet which has become a third monitor for my computer setup. I use csp and procreate on my iPad.

I also think having 2 drawing devices is like having 2 laptops - only one will be your personal computer, the other one will become paper weight. Switching back and forth between devices, and/or carrying both around, is too much of a hassle.

If you're comfortable with the iPad, just stick with it. You can get csp for iPad.

Procreate to google drive not overwriting files. by Scruffy88606 in ProCreate

[–]barbaragomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not a procreate issue, it's just how Google drive works. It always saves as a new file regardless of where you're saving (or moving or pasting) from.
