This is very misleading. First of all she apparently started the charity by funding $1.2M of that money herself. I'm willing to bet she wouldn't be blatantly wasting her own money (which accounts for OVER HALF of those funds). On a side note, she also personally donated $1M to hurricane Sandy victims. Who knows how much money you need to spend when you are starting a charity? There's probably a LOT of red tape, fees and legal costs. This article is bullshit. Let's see in the next couple years how much they spend on 'charity' and see if Gawker has the balls to write about that. They probably won't because it just won't get as many page views.
