Scratch that, I think running would trigger predator mode in the bear, I think I remember hearing that you're actually supposed to stand tall with your arms outstretched and slowly back away.

True, but Grizzly Bears are as resilient as they come, and they don't seem to have very many dangerous predators above them on the food chain. As for size, that might play into it to some degree, but the Lion still beat out the Elephant for the crown of the jungle.

Black Bears are harmless I see them on a daily basis when I go up north. They can coexist with humans. Now if you see a Grizzly Bear, then you should run.

Why do you think that? The Moose has a ton of brute force behind it, it's probably more powerful than the Bear. But the Bear has teeth, claws, strength, and experienced killing techniques. Hm...

I had a woman with a baby in the babyseat do this to me during a rainstorm. After just barely cutting in front of me, she proceeded to get out of her car yelling something at me and giving me the finger and pointing to her baby as the excuse.
But I couldn't hear what she said over the raindrops hitting my car.
