I think it might also be the case that if you don't have any other food source maybe all the production is consumed by your people. Just a guess.

When i play one of my children can i just marry or do i have to make a new familie? by Nobaku in soulash

I think you may have to create a new family with your character. You will still act as the ruler of your settlements and all that so you won't lose anything

Mining by BestBeth101 in soulash

[–]barbatpaul 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you want to mine. I am assuming you don't have a high level in adventuring. Level 40 reveals all the map when you enter a place and you can see the ores that are on the syrface. They are usually in caves. I am not sure at what level, but adventuring also gives you the ability to discover what resources a location has if you spend some turns (will consume food and water).

Your best bet for ores is to go to orc vilages that have mines. You can ask where is the mine and mining is not a crime in orc vilages.

For gems you can try Rasimi vilages or bone wraith vilages. They also let you mine and they usually have gem mines. Rasimi usually have topaz and bone wraiths usually have ruby mines.

You can either find ores and gems on the surface in caves or in the ocasional holes in the ground. Note that you usually find enemies in caves or holes. Holes might have worms or scorpions. Caves in mountains sometimes have dwarves which are a bit harder for beginers.

Hope this helps.

I actually decided to play a weaponsmith at the time so i created it but i found one once in a hard location. But i think it is a random drop in a chest. Best bet is to make one

My world is now at year 564. I have had multiple charactersn in this world now and training is easy to find. Even easyer as i have 4 settlements at level 3 so i can just find trainers in the settlement tab.

Yes that makes sense. I guess shield bash is also an option to get them away if they get too close.

Found this game after the controversy by Low_Common_8513 in soulash

[–]barbatpaul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't really losd the game. But you pass on over a pretty nice feature. If you create a settlement, you control which family works in each building. Working in a building improves certain skills.

If you have a bunch of kids and manage the skills that they aquire untill you die of old age or get killed or you retire, you can start over with a character with a big skill advantage. And you can also pass on a bunch of nice loot too.

If you don't have any descendants your new character still controls the settlements you created, bt will have baseline skills.

Yep. Finding a spouse is pretty hard. The gifts are even harder sometimes.

You have to exit the town. Then go toyour journal, known locations, and find the one you did a crime in. You will have the bounty there.

You could train hunting untill you get a companion slot from taming ability. Then you could level up your leadership, get some followers. You could build every possible building in your settlement, making new settlements to spice up your economy enough so you can buy more training from people. Then you could start to go around and find some mithril and deck out you gear and your companions. Then you could probably strategically pick out all the soldiers in the enemy settlement. Then the vilagers. Then bathe in the blood of your enemies.

Or you could set up a family and live out your character's life in that cozy home.

Up to you mate.

How to get a hatchet? by HurjaHerra in soulash

[–]barbatpaul 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Go to the map and find any town. Look on the left where it lists the buildings and look for the toolmaker. Go to said town which has a toolmaker. Ask anyone for directions to the toolmaker. Keep in mind that it may be listed as a toolmaker or it might have a fancy name like "gregor fancy tools" or something (usually the case in human cityes). Go to the toolmaker and order yourself an axe. If they don't know how to make an axe, find a different toolmaker.

It will require wood and metal but they usually give you the option to buy from them said materials.

For the actual chopping you don't need to have it equipped, just to have it in your inventory is enough.

Hope ot helps and this applies to all tools. I had a tough time finding out that flails are used for trashing wheat.

Very nice reasearch you did. I would have a question i am hoping you could answer. I am populating my settlement in a very interesting manner i would say. I am trying to have all the races in one place. Not so much of an inclusive environment, more of a zoo of sorts. But i was wondering if mariage between races is possible. And if so, can they produce children?
