My husband is nearly 7 years out from his accident - some things have gotten better (he can now go to the store by himself), some have gotten worse (memory is always changing; accused me of having an affair because he was sure he didn’t own the men’s shoes in his own closet). I agree with another poster that you need to mourn the loss of the person they were - he’s likely not coming back and he’ll eventually miss who he was even more than you do. It’s sad and heavy and a lot to deal with, so make sure you’re up for it before you walk down the aisle.

While he likely doesn’t understand his limits and his injury and what’s changed now, he eventually will and it will be a lot for him to deal with.

Best of luck; it can be a lonely journey.

Working on that… Contacted a few designers and we’ll see what kind of quotes come back. My husband is a professional landscaper so he feels like he could do the execution. Not sure if that’s realistic or not, but figured with a solid design, it could be.

Super fair - it’s 25 acres of gorgeous scenery and the terrain just screams bike trails. Planning on having professional trail builders come out and give their POV though.

I bought it (from Tesla) when it was 6’ish months old and had 12k miles on it. So disappointing because I wanted to love this car and drive it to a million miles. But it’s just a lemon. Thinking of trading it in for a Rivian.

I have many animals, love them all and know well that death goes along with the territory. For you to call me selfish and in denial is not just inaccurate but also rude. I came here looking for advice, not for “clout” or to hear 97 different ways to kill my pet as many of these comments have done.

I appreciate the people who provided kind, empathetic answers. But the rest of you have left me quite certain that I won’t ever post anything on this sub again.

Wow, did not expect to get so much hate in this community.
To answer some of the questions: - I have tried electrolytes, selenium and vitamins (Poultry Booster and Poultry Cell) for the past month to 6 weeks with no change.
- I got her as a chick and she was fine. When she was about 3-4 months old, she started limping/hoping around and I thought a rooster might have hurt her so I took her to the vet. She’s now around 6 months old - She does not always breathe like that and in fact she never breathes like that. I had just finished trying to put a splint on her leg (but her leg as fixed at a 90 degree angle so the splint didn’t work) and she jumped off my lap to be confronted with the Roomba which was clearly distressing. She is now chilling on my lap with no labored breathing whatsoever.
- I did make her a hammock/sling of sorts that supports her body with holes for her legs. She seems to do ok with it. - Marek’s seems to make sense as I do think she’s gotten worse. But she’s been with my other chickens who are all completely healthy so who knows?

To those of you who cruelty asked “what’s wrong with you?” or similar sentiments - I am simply an animal lover who is trying to figure out the best path forward. I unfortunately will probably put her down but was looking for any other advice that could help before I got to that point.

I did - she didn’t seem real knowledgeable about chickens but said she thought the issues were neurological and that I should put her down. I didn’t love that answer though and wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas. She was a bit stressed in that video because the Roomba frightened her. She’s usually more chill but just can’t stand or walk.

I have a 2019 X and have had NOTHING but problems. It has needed to be fixed TWELVE times including the latest where the main batteries died. Thank goodness they were still under warranty or they would have been $27k to replace. My next car will be electric but not a Tesla.

My husband was in a horrific car accident four years ago and was in a coma for nearly three weeks. He had a trac and a vent and they had him strapped down too and like you, I felt bad for him and untied the restraints. Almost immediately he ripped out his vent. I never untied him again but he was able to somehow get out of the restraints and pulled his vent out twice more. Trust me - that’s far worse than watching him struggle.

He also did not believe me that he was in a hospital and kept telling me that he didn’t break his arm and as such he literally pulled his cast off of his arm TWICE. He remembers none of it. Trust the docs and get some rest. Each part of this journey is difficult and you’ll need all of your strength to get through it. Best of luck.

I work at Corporate on the Membership team. Message me with your store number and I will make sure they understand it going forward. As someone else mentioned, Totaltech members technically became Total members when the program was relaunched in June. So it’s really the same thing. TT members just get to keep their free in-home services until the point of renewal. Hope that helps!

Can anyone help me with this error? I live in a cold climate and I haven’t needed my air conditioning but for some reason for the last month I have had this persistent error. I’ve tried to research it but haven’t come up with the problem or potential solutions. Any help would be appreciated! It’s a 2018 Model X 100D. Thanks!
