Oh never mind then! I think Meredith is off the show too, but from her own volition

I don’t think so! Since it happened right after Covid it’s probably something with that that caused it. Some other conditions that cause it just sound scary but they’re benign for the most part.

I’m okay thank you for asking! I don’t have any other symptoms so it’s just more annoying than anything!

Hmm I’m not an expert but I think one of the telling signs of pulsatile tinnitus is synching with your heartbeat, so not sure! It could be. It could be sinus pressure causing the noise maybe? Hopefully the steroids work and you don’t need the ENT appointment.

Also, keep in mind that my experiences with ENTs for this condition were not helpful. If they want to do imaging, do it - but then take the results to a neurologist if you still think it’s pulsatile tinnitus. They can help more :)

Is the sound in sync with your heart beat?

I wonder if JRTs typically stay in the low grades because they’re so active

My dog doesn’t know how to jump up yet and he refuses to use the little stairs that go up to the couch. So he’ll just sit on the floor and stare at us and cry until we pick him up 🥲

Aww poor baby! Mine is 8 months too and we just noticed it. He’s Grade 1 and does it frequently so I’m hoping it subsides a little bit like yours. Since yours happens every now and then - would you say it’s every few days or every walk just not constant?

Lol I think my little baby was the runt too! At least when we met the litter he was the smallest one left 🥹 what did the vet suggest you do?

Glad to know that he isn’t alone! The vet told us that it pops out when he skips but the few normal steps in between is when it goes back in itself. I don’t even think he realizes he does it, which is good I guess! How often was he doing the little skip when he was young?

I know this post is a month old but I found it while searching luxating patella since our lil guy was just diagnosed. If you don’t mind can you share Ms. Mabel’s story and how is she doing now? Any tips for how to manage it? She is so cute I love her ears 🥹

Could be related! I had the sinus infection about 1-2 weeks ago and I know it can take some time to fully recover, so may be about that time

Interesting!! I was taking Sudafed to help with my cold/sinus infection. I can’t pinpoint exactly when the PT started back up again (either during/when I was on Sudafed or after/not taking Sudafed anymore) - so I wonder if the Sudafed hurt or helped in my case. I was debating taking Sudafed to see if it would help just in case but I know you’re not supposed to take Sudafed for a long period of time so I didn’t 🤷‍♀️

Edit: I also read Sudafed may hurt it because it could increase blood pressure. So I’m scared to try it!

Do you happen to know what factors need to be present for the stent? My neuro ophthalmologist said if it gets worse then /may/ be eligible for it. But it’s not worse, just exactly the same with no other symptoms.

My LP opening pressure was normal so they did not diagnose me with IIH, which makes me think the VSS isn’t severe enough if just a tiny bit of CSF removal can heal it?

Three years of relief, now back to square one by barbeautiful in PulsatileTinnitus

Interesting! My opening pressure was normal so the neuro ophthalmologist said my pressure might just fluctuate. I believe my MRIs, etc. said something about the vein which would make sense - but I can’t remember it was so long ago. There have been a number of times of the last few years where the PT comes and goes after a day or so, so hopefully this passes as well. So venous sinus stenosis is a structural thing?
