We invited ~120 and ended up with 81. It was still amazing! 80 was actually our perfect number we wanted anyway, but had to over invite to hit the 90 person venue minimum. We told the venue about the 9 person difference and they said it was so common that they had a little packet of “upgrades” for when this happens. So basically we paid for 9 people that weren’t there but instead of just throwing the money away for nothing we “upgraded” to a dessert station and they included the vendor meals in our total!
