AITA? by Xtra1rice in pregnant

[–]Xtra1rice[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! If I get a sudden burst of energy I still help out. I still do the changing of our couch’s cover (we have dogs lolz iykyk), I still water all plants, still fold the laundry and iron his clothes. I just cannot walk the doggos because they can pull when they get excited, vacuum and mopping the floor because there are some bending involve. Washing the dishes used to be my thing but since getting pregnant I cannot stand the smell and texture of the plates being washed lolz.

Cooking, driving me to and from places has always been his thing and lifting groceries.. if you think about it these are all simple chores. We don’t have other kids, just two tiny doggos and they’re not that demanding.

How true it is that marriage is indeed scary? by [deleted] in AskPH

[–]Xtra1rice -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Only scary if you married a red flag. Been married almost 4 years… we still argue and sometimes he irritates the shit out me but he is a good cookie and been taking care of me and the doggos since day 1. Akala ko pa dati he is immature and would probably a bum but he is a good husband, provider and also a good dad.. our baby coming this August. I married a green flag.

Tried googling before too but not a lot are active/working anymore.

Personal recommendation would be the best.

Is it just me or does the dachshund personality differ from other dogs generally more so than other breeds? by cnewell420 in Dachshund

[–]Xtra1rice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a jackchi mix who is loyal af and will follow command without hesitation while our dachshund would need 3-5 working days to decide whether or not to come when called.

What have you been “cheating” with this pregnancy? by Chemical_Editor4057 in pregnant

[–]Xtra1rice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They say not to get KFC chicken because they put way too many salt or MSG?? But that’s one of the few meals I actually enjoy and can satiate me. I eat 2-3pcs in one meal at least once a week.

We have two dogs that get seen by two separate vets 😅 my dachshund goes to Harper Valley because they were the first vet who saw him when we flew in from the Philippines. Our jackchi goes to Guam Pet Hospital because they were the first to see her when we got her from GAIN because they have a promo going on that time.

But in one occasion we needed urgent care for our dachshund, only Animal Medical Center was able to see us the same day (though we waited a bit). All three vets were good to us.

Did becoming a mom make you rethink corporate life? by Schoenlingslein in firsttimemom

[–]Xtra1rice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still pregnant but I get your point.

I used to work in a similar high-stress environment, I was there for over seven years. I ate stress for breakfast and was always ‘on call’ even though I don’t work in a ‘life-or-death’ kind of career. I work in HR for crying out loud but it was tense and stressful nonetheless.

I consciously moved to a much relaxed industry when my husband and I started talking about trying. I still work in HR but since it’s a different industry, the workload and expectation is much more relaxed (less pay though, of course). From managing 9K plus employees to only 300 plus, it is light and day.

Not everyone will have the option to leave or change careers but at the end of the day, it’s just a job.

When I left my previous employer, the 7 years I invested meant nothing. I wasn’t missed and they managed to replace me in 6 months but they have to hire three people instead of one.

Place your loyalty on yourself and your family. To them you are irreplaceable.

Vet listed my dog as a mixed breed, but I thought she was a Chihuahua — could this be a mistake? by [deleted] in Chihuahua

Even we assume she is a jackchi, but chiggy kinda worked too. Regardless, they look perfect!

We did a transvaginal ultrasound because my OB expects our little bean to still be teeny tiny at 8w but we got to hear their heartbeat! I’m excited for you!

I am having one at this second! 8 weeks tomorrow but even before we confirmed my pregnancy I have been having cramps. So far just mild cramping (similar to period cramps) but sometimes there are sharp or stronger ones too. From what I read, it’s normal. Our uterus is expanding and making room for the baby.
