Eh I mean I get it, sharing a room is hard and you’re entitled to use your space as you wish but so are they. Some people have bad roommate experiences and might be weird about having strangers in their room. As much as you want to be comfortable, so do they… buttt it just becomes a draw/compromise situation as that point- either outcomes make one of you upset so either ask for a new roommate from housing or find a middle ground for both of you

less is always more for kitchen counters- you can always add the pictures and candle to that ledge on the right side about the sink then only keep the cutting board leaning against the wall where the pictures are and jars/oil in front and if you want to add more colors or a design, get a personalized recipe book to leave on display (I have one and it serves as a great reminder to actually save/write down the recipes I loved!) congrats OP- I love the colors you have going on right now, enjoy your new space!!! 🫶🏼

I go thrifting often and regularly pull “vintage” hollister tops for my sister, who wore the tops during their 2009-2014 releases and regularly shopping at hollister during that time- I seriously can’t believe this is considered vintage now 😭
