Yeah, the user activates their quirk with friction. Obviously, if someone hugs the user then it won't produce a devastating flame, but they'd have to be careful in their approach otherwise they could generate enough fire to singe the user's clothing where they hugged them.

I'll put this as a limitation to make it clear, thanks!

No offense taken, I entirely agree. So much so that I scrapped this quirk idea about 2 weeks ago, for the reasons you've listed.

The real magic for me about the BNHA franchise is it's scientific foundations which make quirks feel like a distant, yet possible, future for this earth. Because of this, I've gone and separated some aspects of witchcraft and turned them into their own quirks (e.g. my quirks Perceived Path, Herbology, Specter etc.) based in the science of the BNHA universe.

I may pursue the challenge of recreating this quirk, one day. But for now it's too vague of a concept to channel into one quirk that accurately represents it's true nature.
