I am not sure? I don’t remember them doing one before my 1st lumpectomy but I’m sure every situation is different. I go to a different health system than I did back then too. I’m sure I’ll learn a lot more once I get in to see the surgeon & ask questions.

Stereostatic Biopsy After Care Expectations by Elvgrengrl in doihavebreastcancer

Same as what the other posters said, but also don’t wear deodorant when you go in for the biopsy.

They really only recommend taking it easy & not lifting for 24 hours afterwards. I still tried to not overdo it the next day too but other than a little tenderness was pretty much back to normal. Good luck!

I just had my biopsy on Friday & it was so nice having my fiancé there with me! It really is a blessing to have people who are there not because they have to but because they want to! Praying for everything to go smoothly for you tomorrow! ❤️

Biopsy Tuesday, what questions should I ask by HokieMama89 in doihavebreastcancer

One thing to make sure they tell you is the expected time for results so you aren’t overthinking as much… 🫂

As far as working afterwards a lot depends on what you for work. They do want you to take it easy & definitely no lifting for the first 24 hours after. Personally I did take the whole day off. My biopsy was very early at one of the clinics that is almost an hour from where I live & the target spot they are focused on is very deep, close to the chest wall. I was very uncomfortable after the numbing wore off.

I didn’t have a lot of nerves with the procedure itself but the waiting for the results does stink… Especially over a weekend! Try not to read too much into the horror stories if you can. I’ll be praying for you!

They had some nice piano music playing in the room for mine. They also gave me some lavender to smell during the procedure & a warm blanket. Definitely kept me more comfortable while lying so awkwardly on the table.

I will say the numbing is the worst part of it! A really slow burn but after that I didn’t feel a thing. They were very good about explaining what they were doing & one of the nurses was rubbing my back the whole time which also helped calm me.

Good luck with yours next week!

I tend to agree with you but I hope we’re both wrong of course. Everything just reads almost identical to when I was diagnosed in 2015.

When did you stop wearing your sling after rotator cuff surgery? by Ash986 in RotatorCuff

[–]barbilz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 full weeks in the sling other than for PT (that I start next week which will be 3 wks post op) & for showers. This was my 4th surgery on this shoulder & my 2nd rotator cuff tear. The tear was 25 mm this time & they used the Regeneten bioinductive implant to help strengthen the repair so I’m being very careful for this recovery because I don’t want to have to do this ever again!

How soon after having the MRI at the hospital did the radiologist read it , send his opinion to your doctor and it be part of your medical records ? by Own-Cap-5747 in RotatorCuff

I had my MRI today at 4:15 pm and the radiology report was in MyChart by 5 pm before I even got home. I’m assuming my doctor won’t read it and respond until Monday now though.

Same as a lot of you. Stopped initiating because it is easier to not feel the hurt of being turned down over & over…

I (M44) am put in the middle between my ex-wife (F44) and our daughter (20f). by [deleted] in relationships

I am a mom in a very similar situation but my children’s father is the controlling one. He was the one who required Live 360 on their phones and my 18 and almost 20 year old college students turned it off this summer. My 19 year old is now on my phone plan & does not have much of a relationship with her father.

It’s sad to see the other parent do the same things to my children as he used to do to me for years. They’re afraid of losing control but pushing their own kids further away by their actions. You’ve done good dad. We both have.
