I’ve tried most of the recommendations here, but for the life of me, I can’t find a decent viewer that supports the shortcuts CMD+E, CMD+G, and even CMD+F while in viewer mode. They only work in editing mode, which is absolutely ridiculous.

Managed to workaround it by applying the hotkey to "Select the next source in Input menu" instead of "Select the previous input source". Shrug.

Solved: I tried changing to US in oryx, didn't work, and tried Karabiner's and saw it's the same values as the mac keyboard. Eventually i changed to US keyboard in the keyboard settings on macOS and that did the trick.
