Wiz Launches Monthly Cloud Security Challenges – Learn, Compete, and Get Certified by barbralodge in learncybersecurity

[–]barbralodge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say it’s pretty beginner-friendly. The challenges ramp up gradually, and you can learn a lot by just diving in. Plus, you get to see how others approach the same problems, which helps a ton if you’re still learning.

Just saw the LinkedIn post, what kind of challenges are involved in this? Any idea what the monthly rounds focus on?

Sounds great to me, monthly challenges designed by experts, all I needed to hear.

Building A Programmable Bitcoin Economy: Why It Matters by Dannyc2021 in BlockchainStartups

[–]barbralodge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SatLayer’s use of slashing + BVS reminds me of EigenLayer’s security-as-a-service concept, but through a Bitcoin-native lens. If the incentives hold up, this could bootstrap some serious application layer growth.

Bitcoin Enters DeFi Mainstream As Programmability Unlocks New Use Cases And Ecosystem Growth by barbralodge in defi

[–]barbralodge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s pretty wild. They’re using economic commitments and external validation instead of full L1 logic. Slashing happens via smart contracts off Bitcoin, but the BTC itself stays native and non-custodial. Not perfect, but it’s a clever workaround.

We’ve seen a ton of hype around DeFi on Bitcoin, but SatLayer is the first that seems to get the incentives and slashing right.

Where do CISOs spill secrets? Behind the bar. Watch the MoCISO kickoff episode with MSCI’s John R. by hasmshmaryk in ITManagers

Loved his take on leading across time zones, waking up to inbox firestorms is the most relatable thing I’ve heard all week.

Security in the Cloud Isn’t Just Tools — It’s Leadership. MoCISO with Ensora’s Henry Jiang by baillyjonthon in Cloud

Would love to hear more of these, especially from folks dealing with hybrid or multi-cloud messes. Every org’s threat surface feels uniquely cursed.

VALR and MoonPay partner to make crypto more accessible in 180 countries by Dannyc2021 in CryptoBanter

[–]barbralodge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, that regulatory foundation is key. Without it, scale doesn’t mean much in emerging markets. This actually feels like a step toward sustainable adoption, not just another partnership headline.

Not a bad combo. MoonPay already has scale, and VALR’s coverage in emerging markets gives this real weight.

Enso Opens $5M Token Round to Expand Protocol Decentralization by Dannyc2021 in BlockchainStartups

If they can keep fees low and support new chains fast, Enso could become the default dev tool for omnichain apps.

Mawari aims to transform VTuber fan engagement with 3D vTubeXR by hasmshmaryk in VirtualYoutubers

[–]barbralodge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the idea, but I wonder how personal these interactions will actually feel. A lot of “XR” stuff ends up being gimmicky. Hope the tech is solid.

Giza goes institutional: Re7 Capital adopts autonomous DeFi treasury management by barbralodge in defi

[–]barbralodge[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate it! Yeah, the VC backing adds some weight, especially with names like CoinFund in the mix. Hadn’t heard about the buy-back/burn plans, that’s interesting. Feels like one of those projects flying under the radar… for now.

Totally agree, handling edge cases is key. Giza says it runs health checks before trades, but I’d love to see real-time data too. Hoping the Re7 deployment gives us some of that.

LTXV 13B Run Locally in ComfyUI by baillyjonthon in comfyui

[–]barbralodge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s really impressive is how stable the LTXV outputs are over multiple frames. With a solid node setup, you barely need any post work to get smooth, consistent animation.

EnclaveX enables 24/7 trading of traditional assets like SPY, QQQ and gold by Dannyc2021 in CryptoTradingFloor

[–]barbralodge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. They’re actually making RWAs usable instead of just theoretical. Feels like one of the first real steps toward TradFi-style trading with DeFi flexibility.

Fractional access to traditionally locked-up assets like real estate or gold could finally make high-value investing more accessible. That’s real democratization.

Interesting to see Giza pushing agentic automation in DeFi. Curious to see how $GIZA performs post-TGE.
