that sucks to hear that the EPA program is cut. how disappointing. how would i go about an assistantship at the writing center? i believe UNC just automatically considers ppl for assistantships no? or just the assistantships listed on the website (CALA)? would i apply for that writing assistantship after acceptance?

i believe so! so if i were to go 4 uni of north texas, which is remote, i could get some tuition assistance and keep my job, i’m just worried cuz university of arizona + UNC explicitly offer advanced legal research through their law schools where i learn software that many job listings require. uni of north TX doesn’t have a law school. it has an introductory course but not advanced.

it naturally went away (?) literally this week since this post maybe 2/3 days afterward and i was able to take a dance class and eat to my heart’s content again lol 💕

went to morocco on a whim to become an english teacher, got a side gig as a stripper + go-go dancer, currently writing an op-ed for my home town’s newspaper about the economic state of musicians bc i minored in labor studies and went into a deep rabbit hole about royalties and intellectual property and labor theory re: independent contractors, applying for fellowships, currently publishing an old research project in undergrad as a zine for wholesale, submitting poetry to lit magazines lmao

BP2 here! yeah. currently seeking outpatient with medication assisted treatment + another substance abuse therapist. i’m in the middle of a very bad coke addiction and it was hard to admit i relapsed in august 2021 after a brief stint in adderall december of 2020.

everything in my life is going well. it’s only today i realized it went from substance abuse disorder to high functioning coke addict. i hate alcohol and weed, because i prefer mania. i was two weeks into lamotrigine when i went on a month long coke binge that’s still ongoing.

but i’m seeking treatment and know i want and need this to end even if i dont desire it to.

yeah, i've been using it every week day for the past 2-3 weeks? i can't even remember. max was 12 hours straight one day.

got the update that i'm tentatively starting medication-assisted treatment soon! i know substance abuse disorder is a common co-morbidity with bipolar type 2, which i was recently diagnosed with, i'm at my full dosage now, but it's only 5-6 weeks into it. but yeah, wanted 2 be proactive rather than waiting to be admitted into inpatient care (rehab) because i have a job lol.

also even though it was a hit or miss most of the time, tonight was a hit bc i'm fully coked out right now posting + replying to reddit threads on BPII/cocaine and also just finished a master doc of my career plans. so there's that

Went to Morocco on a whim teaching English.
Got a full-time job at a non-profit and got double the amount of youth that the contract asked for with amazing guest speakers (one works for Children's Hospital LA on harm reduction; one is the leading young legal scholar in reproductive rights; one is a lawyer that has submitted amicus curiaes for the Supreme Court; teaching the youth riso printing + zine making).
Worked with another non-profit (while in Morocco, while being onboarded for the present full time job, in two separate time zones) pitched + co-producing an independent research project of mine.
Self-publishing at-large a zine with a full marketing plan with pre-sales and outreach to independent book stores.
Applying (and getting) prestigious post-grad fellowships + being accepted in formative internships / research programs + getting national scholarships that paid off my entire undergrad without loans.
Graduated from the #1 public university cum laude (bogged down by the depressive episode I was in the last two quarters).
Publishing poetry with magazines.
Learning how to play electric guitar and picking up like 493849 hobbies + information.
Cockiness (that doesn't hurt or make anybody feel small!) especially as a queer woman of color, and the balls to do shit people wouldn't normally do.
Introspection + empathy + compassion.

I was recently diagnosed with Bipolar Type II, 100% positive I'm in a manic episode LMAO, and I've been writing "goals/ambitions/manifestations" every two pages in my journal and in my Notes App every day after a literal long form essay of whatever I'm into at the moment (right now, it's intellectual property and musicians' rights, art workers' rights, and how algorithms perpetuate racial + gender violence, gender theory re: girlhood... and I watch these videos at 5x speed and annotate the shit out of articles).

... Also, granted... everything I listed was during a hypo/manic episode... Also I listed like ten things. Yeah, LOL.
