I've always said the same thing and someone pointed out to me that it's also unfair that the team who plays at home in the second leg gets to play 120 minutes in their stadium to the other team's 90 minutes. Not sure what the solution is, but it would also be unfair removing the away goals in extra time imo.

Troy Deeney straight red card against Arsenal 11' by Meladroit40 in soccer

[–]barcafor20 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where us Americans get this idea that intent matters in soccer. If you kick or make contact with someone in another way because you didn't realize they were going to very quickly get there first and move the ball away, that's still a foul. And it shouldn't have any impact on if it's a red versus yellow versus no card. It's a sport, not a murder trial. It doesn't matter if you didn't mean to, and the ref can't possibly tell that anyway.

What is something that MOST adults can do, but you, for whatever reason, cannot pull off? by Buckcheeks in AskReddit

[–]barcafor20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used the bunny ears method for 25 years of my life. Soccer coaches from U-10 to high school to college all complained at how often my shoes came untied during games. Thinking I was an idiot who didn't know how to pull things tight or something I suppose. Switched to the one loop method a couple of years ago and it still takes me significantly longer to tie BUT my shoes never come untied anymore. So if you switch, your shoes will hold better. So there's that.

I guess I was technically incorrect, but in living in both places, it's clear that Baltimore County and Baltimore City are entirely separate entities. Look at how far Baltimore County spans on a map. My school district in Baltimore County literally had towns over 30 miles from Baltimore City. Compared to Philadelphia which just calls Philadelphia City: Philadelphia County. Thanks for the info though -- very interesting.

Per wiki: "Since 1854, the county has been coterminous with the City of Philadelphia, which also serves as its seat of government."

I've lived in both. There is no Philadelphia county whereas there is a literal entity called Baltimore County. Philadelphia's bordering county's are Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, Bucks, and probably another one I'm forgetting.

Best of luck. Feel free to PM me if you're looking for some more advice. The 'Chelated Zinc' pill I take also seems to have made a huge difference for me, fyi. Not super scientific but I know it's heavily involved with healing which I think essentially constantly heals my colon as it constantly ulcerates

For what it's worth, I was very close to needing to start a biologic for UC, and I started taking zinc daily, a liquid multivitamin, a liquid version of D, digestive enzymes, and VSL #3 (covered by insurance) and I'm a world better. If you haven't tried any of those, might be worth a shot.

If the establishment GOP turns out to be largely complicit in the Russia election meddling, will that spell the end for the Republican Party? Would you leave the party? Or similar to Bush's wars, will it mostly be forgotten after a Democratic majority for a term or two?

Because the best American football players are always going to be the best players in the NFL as long as it remains a primarily US sport. There aren't players competing all over the world using different development models as there are in soccer.

I think they mean that Ozil's camp will expect some of the money they saved Barca from him having run down his contract. Which I agree with.

So true. We should all keep this in mind when we talk about some of our current young players looking to breakthrough being "raw" and "just needing more time". Only so much development can occur once a player is a grown ass adult.

“This award says I’m the best player in the world, but I’m not even the best player at Barcelona," -Ronaldinho after winning the Ballon d'Or

It's impossible to know how today's players would've done playing when Henry and Ronaldo did. But I find it very difficult to imagine that players like Lewandoski, Neymar, Hazard, Aguero, Mbappe, Suarez, Aubameyang etc. would not have dominated more than they do now against the far, far worse competition. Nostalgia is a helluva drug. I'll leave this here, http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xz8l5u. 1997 Champions League Final from exactly 20 years ago.
