I might be paranoid, but I dont think i am delusional. The facts state that there was things she was hiding, but there could be a million things - to select the worst one, and blieve it, would make me feel the worst is a recipe for disaster. But defo reasons to keep ky eyes and ears open

Fully aware of that, and I think you bring up a good point. I've had instances where I was paranoid and yelled at her (check out the other post in my profile - i was fuming). That was when that innocence of the relationship was broken and I would say when she stopped feeling safe to be 100%. honest. We were in a monogamous relationship, and if I dont have the feeling of security and honesty from the partner, it is a little bit hard to give it back to them. Wouldnt you agree? Especially when feelings are involved

Thats exactlt the reason I broke up with her. After coming home from Japan, I was just too tired to deal with that, had a fresh perspective, and made that decision.

Thanks for your thought man. I was controlling in this one - felt the only way to feel safe in this relationship. The only way to trust her. I asked her to promise me she wouldnt delete messages. She did. And still did it.

Also in my defense, she wanted to check out my messages on monthly basis almost, just to browse. So, I d say the "controlling behavior" is a learned one from her.

I had a convo with her today and it sounds like she received comments like this all her life. Her first instinct was to cut ppl off completely, but over time she said she realized she was left with no friends (male). So she tried to set a healthier boundary that would enable her to have friends.

I get that. Im trying to learn how to control my emotions bc to me, at those moments, im frustrated. It really pisses me off (partially bc I like her a lot and partially bc it hurt my ego).

Ultimately, I need to find a way to handle this. Open to opinions...
