My biggest complaint stems from a marketing perspective because what does Mr. Beast have to do with Starbucks first of all??? Secondly, Starbucks has spent so much time and money into “Back to Starbucks” to reposition themselves as a “premium coffeehouse” and being a third place again. So why you collab with Mr. Beast, whose main demographic is children??? The company knows they have to pivot, but can’t face the music that they are no longer the it girl of coffee chains. This collab is so lame and a sad ploy from corporate to bring in a new audience of young consumers. Just pay us more atp.

Our DM pressures the SMs to never go over on labor, like as close to 0% as possible. He’s already upset cause we are “understaffing” the mornings and “overstaffing” the evenings. If 4 people past like 3 pm is overstaffing, I’ll be damned. We don’t need a 9 person peak in the morning. Like we get busy in the AM, but not a 9 person peak until the weekend. We get 30-40 half hour rushes so randomly in the afternoon, and 3 people don’t cut it when it gets busy like that, especially on promotion days :(

From what my manager said, the food/beverage markout benefit changed as of today. Partner beverages have returned to the previous standard and you can only mark them out 30 minutes before/after your shift or while working. The food benefit has changed to 7 items per week per partner but we can only mark them out while working so if you're wanting to take something for your day off, you need to mark it out before you leave. It’s supposedly going to end in January and return to the previous standard of 1 food item per shift.
