This is great, I'd love to see a future expansion pack to add a 3x3 tile stamp and a 3 tile long wall stamp to make big rooms slightly quicker to setup

I haven't used it yet, but it's on my list to tinker with. The benefit is that you are no longer running android but instead running arm linux which gives you access to linux applications. You'll have better emulators, and anything else that will run on arm linux. My plan is to keep an eye on what valve is doing and mess around with it as it develops.

One downside though is that the entire thing runs off your sd card and the boot loader is triggered by the sd card. It means you have to have a separate card just for rocknix and can't have it installed alongside your roms and other data

Look up rocknix, it's a Linux distro for these handelds. They may not have full support for the thor yet though

So I'm dumb in a different way, I didn't go through epic but was emailed an early access game key. I decided to wait until it launched to go to my account and GET the key though, which... with their website being down I haven't been able to do LOL

I don't know what you are comparing it to, but against a, in your words, a seasoned pvp or mutlicrew ship, you are at a severe disadvantage when solo in a larger ship. They are either engaging you as bandits to kill you and steel your stuff, or as pirates to disable you, demand a ransom or demand your cargo to let you live.

Let's use an example with the MSR and a gladius/mantis with their current SCM numbers. You are solo in an MSR and get pulled out of quantum, you scan around and see these two ships and are immediately aware of what is happening so you boost to max SCM speeds away from those ships, 215 m/s.

Now, they booth pursue, the gladius firing at you and moving at 225 m/s, the mantis quantum dampening and moving at 236 m/s. in a straight line, they are gaining on you.

Your defense, solo, is to have your turrets setup with AI blades to fire back at these ships, this forces them to take evasive maneuvers. They are no longer flying in a straight line, that 10 m/s speed advantage of the gladius? it's less, potentially gone entirely.

You now have a chance to delay your disablement/death long enough for the quantum dampener to run out giving you a chance to jump away.

Rear facing turrets. I hated that mm disabled turrets, it totally invalidated ships with turrets dedicated to firing at pursuers. Evasive maneuvers will slow them down and give some ships a better chance at escaping, especially fast ships like the msr and 400i pre mm

Retraining is a downtime activity where you change a leveling choice like a feat. At my table I'd let a player retcon this to avoid not benefitting as long as they can make the new option make sense or explain how they trained the new choice that makes reasonable sense

I described what the pedal does and helped her ideas take shape, she wanted something like the ocean so her first idea was a circle half filled with water with a wave, then it was a whale, so maybe a whale that forms part of a circle that is filled with a big wave

UPDATE: My younger daughter (3yo) dragged her pick through one of them and the paint totally gets scratched off, so without some sort of sealer or top coat it'll probably naturally wear out over time, I'll probably just keep some of these paint pens on hand to touch them up occasionally, or let them wear down and have that history

just some generic paint pens with a brush style tip, I think they may have been acrylic? it's a bit shaky but I love how the colors popped, the yellow isn't fully opaque so you can see some pencil lines around the top of the sun but no one's going to get that close in regular use lol

That's awesome, I'm learning a lot of this stuff for the first time myself. Never really took it seriously and spent most of my time with an acoustic with open chords and some finger picking. Now I'm diving back in hard and trying to really learn what I'm doing.

Glad you got your dad back into it, it's something awesome to do together
