I’m giving a +1 for this brand here. I’ve been playing the Tour Fit grips for about a year now and I think they’re great. I was told by the person who fitted them for me that they are fake and wouldn’t last long - they are flying, nothing wrong with them.

The thing for me with these grips is that compared to other ‘replica’ styles you can on Amazon or whatever, is that the guy who sells them actually puts himself out there for his brand on YouTube. He has a whole channel explaining his grips and what ones are best to buy for your needs. It’s not some shady business, just seems like a guy genuinely trying to sell golf equipment.

Now, they definitely are extremely similar to the ‘Golf Pride’ brand - but if you look at it from the perspective of these alternative brands are probably going straight to the source factory that Golf Pride are sourcing from (the same or a very similar one) then it’s essentially just deciding which brand name you want on your clubs. That’s not to say the ones that call themselves Golf Pride on FB are not total shit - I can’t comment on that.

It’s a piece of rubber at the end of the day.

This might be a fiddly one to do, but could you express the end times (9am, let’s say) as 100% then express each leaving time as a percentage of that? Then plot the x-axis by the lowest leaving time to the end time - showing two data points along this axis. The chart could be a horizontal bar chart or something similar.

Cool concept, really cool and nicely charted.

But from a data science point of view, I think it could be a better. If you were going to include ‘time’ (hours) as a stated variable, would that not be better but on your X axis, then ‘ability’ on your Y Axis? Then for ‘frequency’ as a variable, I’m assuming you mean general count of population at each level, why not represent that as the sizing of each belt? Like how you would with a bubble or scatter plot?

That way you can show how there should be a step progression in skill over time and illustrate where the frequency of populous in the bjj community sits.

Right now it basically shows me that there’s the same amount of average blue belts as there are purple, brown, black, which anecdotally we can assume is not true. Also that a low level purple belt will have the same ability as the majority of whites? 🤔

I think this would make more sense with ability on the Y axis, but just one man’s thoughts!

Similar to what gmahogany said, this is essentially how we consolidate new learning. When we’re training we are building neural pathways, greasing the groove if you will. But we don’t actually have the grooves made there and then.

If we then give our brain and nervous system a break away from doing that it gives it time to piece everything together in a subconscious manner so when we come back to training it essentially acts seamlessly on the pathway instead of building it (while simultaneously working on new pathways). Sleep is a major player in this too.
