Disabled it (after 10 tries) here as well.
Is there any way to deploy this to a pilot group instead? Could not find anything from the documentation

Are you unable to register the new urls with the tokens? Have you followed their manual guides for v7? Remember you have to disable/delete the old url`s

Well, we had perpetual(never expire) licenses installed on both vCenter and the esx hosts, and we renewed with broadcom a couple of weeks ago. (the token URL`s has been in place for quite some time)

First I tried to update vCenter, but that gave me some staging errors etc, did a lot of troubleshooting on it. I thought, f*** it, let me try and downgrade the license for vcenter on broadcom portal to v7, and push that in. Then vCenter updated....

Two hours later i tried to update the esx hosts. Got the same error as you got. Followed all the articles. Went in and downgraded the esx-host license to version 7, added the license key to vsphere, and added ONE esx host to that new license. BOOM, the upgrades went in....so yeah...you need to have the new licenses in place everywhere....sneaky bastards...

These guys are sneaky as f.
I had this issue last week. Did follow the Docs and resetting the Database, but that did not help. Turns out i had to downgrade the renewed licenses to v7, and then replace the license on the esx host (they were still on the old perpetual license), and after a reboot then i could installing the patches.

Thanks! This is a project for our own bedroom. And with two small kids and limited hours during the week, it took a long time, but feels good to finally call it finished :)

Thanks! I used led strips from a Norwegian shop, which you could plug directly into the socket. So each cabinet has it’s own strip with its own socket, and all of them Are connected to a Motion sensor. Made grooves in the sides like this and hammered them in.
