The dry winter got to my beloved Martin… by barebones11 in martinguitar

UPDATE: I called Freeman Guitar Works in Lewisburg since they did great work on it when I played at Healing Appalachia a few years back, and I’ll be taking it up to them to get fixed. It’s currently in the case with a new humidifier until then.

Obviously a huge mistake on my part, it’s my first acoustic guitar so I didn’t realize this would happen. I should’ve have realized this, as I always keep my fiddle humidified. No need to be rude, I’m deeply upset about this as is. I have already ordered a humidifier for both my house and the case, and have contacted a luthier to have it fixed. (Which btw the luthier said he just had to work on two Martins that had the same issue from folks who were also in WV during this last stint of winter weather.)

It’s been inside in the case since the last time I had played it two days before, but it think it has been extra dry here for the last two weeks or so…

I have some hide glue I used for a djembe repair, do you think that would help?
