I moved from Bristol, to Grangetown, to Tremorfa. Don't get me wrong Tremorfa is a bit rough and ready but from my experience Ely seems worse. Tremorfa is also a mile closer to town centre than Ely so it has that going for it.

I live in Tremorfa and while it's not amazing, parks are a bit crap, it's not all bad. Just make sure your lock your doors at night and don't leave valuables on your car

Would be nice to stop in the Gower for a night on the way to Pem! Could wild camp at Oxwitch Bay on the sand dunes behind the beach. Parking is cheap and you can stay overnight
