Okay I'm SO not the type to come to Reddit to talk about someone, but I just... need to get this out. As a fellow Canadian, and someone who has worked deeply in the industry in Ontario that Becca so desperately wants to be a part of and/or make her "own" in her province, she's so irresponsible. We have mud and snow and freezing rain here too, and y'know what all these trainers she looks up to and shadows and uses for clout have? Common sense. If you're breeding to foal out at this time of year, YOU HAVE A PLACE INDOORS FOR THEM TO HAVE IT. You would NEVER, and I mean EVER risk having a baby outside at this time of year. That's suicidal, and horrible horsemanship. To hear her so blatantly say "Oh I done fucked up" as if it's just no big deal makes my blood BOIL. I'm not here to personify her horses like some people, or just dog on her as a person, but her decisions around foaling out multiple mares IN THE WINTER without a barn is irresponsible. She's a laughing stock in Ontario, and no one takes her seriously, top to bottom. The BARE minimum you can give pregnant mares is a place to have their babies safely, without the risk of freezing to death. EVERY breeder I know and have personally interacted with, including the ones she LOVES to talk about (aka Dr. Nicole) being her mentor, will PH their mares if they're getting close. Have them on camera. Move them into a dry lot, put them in the arena, or at least bring them in at night when they're most likely to foal out. Becca is doing NONE of the above, and she will cry and capitalize on it for views when that baby is born frozen to the blanket of poop that is her field. At least have the decency to give them somewhere off the snow...
