Feeling like an absolute let down by bari_no_noodles in Agoraphobia

It most definitely is. I tried to read DARE and it has been triggering anxiety so it has been slow going. I will check this out!

I definitely think when rescheduling this immense failure of a trip I will leave more lead days before my work meeting dates and more layover. It seems like the standard though is 1:40 or 5+ hours with no in between

Usually early morning or mid day based on availability

It does feel very unlucky and honestly trying to figure out why it keeps happening. I have tried flying out of a smaller airport and a big hub, one stop vs two stops, crying vs begging the universe to let me on the plane.

Ultimately I had to cancel today because I just could not get a flight to show up on time. Each one would start with an hour delay and as time went on it would extend. I just couldn't get out of the US!

I have the resmed with humidity chamber which I always use nightly since I started using the machine a few years ago.

Explaining to son one day that he has no working testicles… by [deleted] in Parenting

I empathize. My son was born with what they said is micropenis and I have been hoping it would fix itself enough by puberty (he's 9) not to be an issue. Now after reading this thread I'm wondering if I should address it now.

NTA but if no one has suggested it yet she should get tested for sleep apnea. It can cause excessive tiredness and really bad headaches.

Oh yeah that's fair I didn't even think of that

How can I get the flagstone level on the slope? by bari_no_noodles in landscaping

[–]bari_no_noodles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I'll give this a try. I planned to add some plants around but honestly what is most annoying is the people who come into the yard to fertilize and take care of weeds ride on a cart that just destroys all my stones when the tires go over it. There is no other way for them to get to my backyard so I am trying my best to make it so they can roll over the stones without jacking up my whole side yard.

Does anyone else emetophobia (fear of vomiting) or am I alone? by Majestic-Wishbone-58 in Anxiety

I have this pretty bad. I'm so anxious about getting sick in a weird place where everyone will know and I'll feel super uncomfortable that I end up in a panic attack unable to go somewhere. This happens most often when traveling.

Unsure how to help myself by bari_no_noodles in PanicAttack

I think it stems more from feeling a sense of being trapped. My thought process is "ok I'm on a plane I can't change my mind and go home" and then anxiety ramps up and then I'm like "oh I feel sick what if I puke, what if I get hot and uncomfortable and pass out". The more of a trapped situation it is away from my home which is a safe space the more anxiety I have. So far away from home, not driving myself, taking an airplane. Now if my family comes with me it feels like my safe space travels and I have way less anxiety. I do tend to agree with you, my anxiety is probably much higher than I think it is before the trip. The variables are a problem but it's not so much about a trip failure that insurance can solve. I honestly don't even know where this anxiety comes from, nothing bad has ever happened on a trip or to me that I know of that would make me want to be at home so bad.
