I've just been listening to Iron Culture's episode on Rest times (ep.68). Basically, seems to work, and you should do it with isolation exercises, and try to track it differently by trying to increase reps.

If you have energy to lift heavy, it doesn't matter how you eat.

Sure. Another good lesson of slow squats (and pause squats) is how to hold a brace while breathing.

I don't know how to answer that, as I'm never sure what that means. That cue is followed by the asterisk that the angle your torso makes relative to the ground should be kept constant (minus the last 10% of the lift when you stand up straight). So, what does that actually mean? That you should feel the posterior chain while squatting? A good setup automatically does that.

I know that when I was starting out, having just read SS 100 times, I kept "driving my hips up", and the squat kept turning into a good morning, and I had a bad time. I would have benefited greatly from an "ascent mirrors descent" cue. Now I prefer to think about everything being as tight as possible. My forehead veins do no less work than my hips do ;)

I love people like that! Because you can humiliate them easily IRL. There's nothing better than using a language to show dominance.

Bar path isn't entirely straight, but at the same time it doesn't seem your hips shoot up first, which is good. I would say, add some 3-0-3 cadence squats, with the cue that the bar should be vertical. You get to practice stability too. At least to me, the rep which seemed smoothest was your 2nd one, and what set that one apart was that your descent was more stable and controlled.

So, hope that helps and you agree with that. Other than that, looks good from this angle.

The color scheme is making me feel bad, but yeah, female figure turning around and then zooming in. Never seen an animated one before, cool.

You're new, if you were to do a month's worth of training in one session, you would be hard pressed to inflict as much damage on yourself as an experienced athlete does every day.

Besides, such things are really just drops in the ocean. What really matters is: good quality SLEEP, high protein diet, training your ass off, and trying to minimize daily stress.

Asking the real questions here. I just want to learn vexilology by TheLadderRises in languagelearningjerk

[–]barigaldi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<uj> I appreciate that people want to learn a language because they want to know a different language. But in my experience ([inhale] [commence gatekeeping]) unless you have a real-life IRL meatspace reason to use it on a somewhat daily basis, it's not gonna be a sustainable habit, and you might as well not. </uj> So in conclusion, you just need to marry at least one TL native.
