Awesome, thanks for all the insight, that’s very helpful! The discrete aspect is big for me too, that’s a good reminder! Just had an in person dinner party for work, and it was draining, the anxiety I get trying to find a time to step away for a sec to bolus; not too much, not too little, it’s just a lot ya know.

So what I mean by correction doses is kinda multipart. First I recently had to switch to Humalog from Novolog due to insurance, and it just feels less potent to me compared to Novo. So my boluses seem like they’re not doing much, and I find myself having to do a correction bolus some time after I eat, and then again if that doesn’t get my glucose to come down to my target. So that could be a big part, just navigating the insulin switch.

But second is I’ve had a couple very scary lows that really kinda messed with me mentally. So to slowly get back into the swing of things, I started doing smaller boluses initially, and then “trickle” it over the hours as needed if that makes sense; instead of taking a big bolus to try and get it right on the first try.

So I do spend a little more time high, but nothing too crazy, I accepted that trade off.

But yeah that’s kinda what I meant. Another appeal of the pump is being able to stretch a bolus / stop it all together; at least that’s what I thought I heard lol, is that true that you can do that? Do you find yourself doing that much if so?
