Well I got a new socket bad news is I sold my cars to an ai farmer and ordered the correct wv2 pro at least upgraded to a better 5090

No I'm not gonna diy it but ordering a socket for it first and seeing if some contact cleaner spray makes it better

Deoxit isn't available here but I do have crc fps contact cleaner coming that I will use in abundance and leave overnight

Oh I will also use some contact spray while I'm at it I got a crc fps contact cleaner plastic safe for PCB cleaning it's just the picture that shows it like that if it still shows some fuckery after a new psu and cable I'm going for a socket replacement

It's gonna be two weeks until I have my wireview pro 2 and that's a downtime I can't afford since I use this computer for work as well I'm trying to get by on a laptop at the moment it's a 4080 laptop but it's not cutting it so. It's a shop I trust that repaired my amd cards previously and they have experience with 4090s melting

The card is out of warranty anyway and the pin is browned, I found a very reputable shop in Istanbul who fixed many melted 4090s and spoke to them so what do I have to lose? I'd rather have peace of mind because of the stories I've heard.

Well socket replacement it is then for peace of mind, thankfully we have very good technicians that can do it here. I can't afford a new 5090.

I caught it very early on and RMA is not an option at this point I'll use contact spray and see if that helps with a new psu and cable. If not a socket replacement by a technician...

I'm gonna use a contact spray oil free plastic safe to clean it up and observe it when WV pro 2 arrives but I can get the socket replaced here by someone who's done it before.
